Selling a concept or idea?

Whats your opinion of this,

I had an idea well over a year ago, which I do believe in the right hands could be very lucrative. I now believe the right hands are not mine.

Whats your opions on this?

Cheers

Darren

I have developed a site, through an idea I had. I am looking to offload the concept, idea, site and the potential.

I have put a lot of work into the concept and last years competition, but I feel that I need the competition to succeed, I dont think this can be done by me

      See my signiture

      Thanks

I assume you are talking about the "Minisite Wars" concept, yes?

If that is the case it seems to me the best way to go about it is to partner with someone who will execute the concept.

Right now the concept is just that - a concept. It has no inherent value. It may have potential value but potential value is usually worthless to the market.

To be blunt, this concept plus $4 will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks.

Make something happen with it, increase the value of the concept/brand, THEN sell it.

        Ken

P.S. In this scenario you don't necessarily even have to be a working partner...

          Hi Ken,

I agree, I suppose I'm looking for someone with a nice list who can see the benefit that the competition could bring.

Concepts and Ideas are great, but as you pointed out implementing them is the key.
I have found it is terribly difficult to get anyone to pay for a concept without a clear plan on how to implement it.
