    Sure...

    Monetize it!

    Realize that:
    • New people are ALWAYS coming into IM and you can help them and profit from them.
    • What YOU know, they DON'T (necessarily) - you have experience and can teach them/coach them/sell them the info.
    • Even things that seem simple to you now like those things on the front page WEREN'T simple to you when you started, right?

Looks like a list of 5 product/short report ideas, eh? Maybe make 5 short reports and package them as "Newbie Oxygen Reports" - What EVERY newbie MUST have.

    >> Heck, if you do it, I'll do the report cover graphics for you free - pm me. lol

(I get it though - when you're looking for "deeper" threads, it wears on ya.)

Unfortunately this is a very informative forum and questions get lost in the midst of other questions, so they are definitely going to be a lot of Groundhog Days, like King Shiloh said, it's the ups and down of the forum

Not complaining just wondering why people search google for everything they need but not forums. Surely you would and I have in my experience learn much from reading old posts ... There is a wealth of information in these threads ...

I'm with you... only thought on that is that some think it's easier to ask than to search and filter through the results... laziness taking over perhaps?

Ironically, if all those 'new people' realized one of the keys to success in IM is the ability to do comprehensive research on any given niche (that would include IM) then we may not be doing them the greatest of favors by simply continuing to supply the easy answers without also telling them to use the search function here.

It's a double edged sword. Once the low hanging fruit has been picked those newbies who continually look for the easy way out only clog the system before they burn out.

Reminding them they should be properly searching for answers already given to common questions may have a longer term benefit for those so inclined. It's not always about "lynch mobs", sometimes it's about 'tough love'.

Constant unresearched questions by the same newbie tends to point these folks out. At some point it becomes apparent they are just here for the attention and will never understand this is a forum for marketers, not just another kindergarten for internet groupies.

On one hand, you have the approach one TV network took to reruns, oops, I mean 'encore presentations' - if you haven't seen it, it's new to you.

On the other hand, simply telling someone to 'use the search function' may not be the best advice, either. I've been around awhile, and sometimes the search function tries my patience. This is particularly so with common questions, or questions using words that are common jargon. It's easy to get so many potential answers back that it's easier to just ask again...

Sometimes, at least for me, it's much easier to use Google (or your SE of choice) and include the site:warriorforum.com tag. You can narrow things down by using the sub-forum in the tag, too. If you want to search the main forum (this section), you would put in your search phrase plus . Sometimes that works wonders, especially if you can refine your search phrase.

  • We are just such a nice group of people. There always someone willing to help even the most asinine question. Other forums have formed digital lynch mobs to attack newbies that ask questions without searching first. Warriors just take in stride. However, I will admit to being a little tired of the "What is the best way to make money online" question.

Those are not the ones that get under my skin. The ones that get under my skin are the ones where you go to a thread started by a noobe that is asking for help. Then when you ask them a simple question on what they are doing and not doing they do not reply why others go in there and keep umping it up. Even though the person has not come in there and read anything nore posted any thing at it since they started it.

Now as to the www thread I actually started that. It was not for learning purposes but for helping others. If you read the post you would see I was not asking for help but starting the thread to help out others.

Back when I was "new" there were no forums... only a few webpages/sites to learn from. They were all static.

I read, and tried, and read some more. And then tried again and again.

    NO ONE answered my questions.

(present day) ..... My wife is called constantly by our two sons asking how to do this or how to do that or send me money or whatever. These guys are 24 and 21. Gimme a break....

Just like we spoon feed people here - they think that ehy can just make a call or ask a question and everything will be done for them... the answers given - problem solved.

NOT a good thing in my opinion. Removes the challenge of DISCOVERY and inspiration.

    just blathering...
