What did i do right and wrong with these articles

First article i submitted

Small But Powerful Golf Tips to Improve Your Swing

Stats 31 views today 1 click CTR = 03%

Second article i submitted

Positioning Your Ball For Success

stats 26 views today and 11 clicks CTR = 42%

What did i do so much better in the 2nd article that it is getting this amazing click through rate?

    This is what I believe is the difference:

    Your first article uses "powerful golf tips" in the article, thus the higher views. However, the content did not live up to "powerful" (just my opinion)

    Your second article uses "positioning your ball" which does not set super high expectations, and the content satisfies the need exactly. I think this article delivers (just my opinion)

    Hence with the second article they want to read more....

    I review a lot of articles and on my site we see some over-hyped headlines and that causes poorer CTR results.

    Either way I learned something from reading your articles

        so in your guys opinion the first header might have over done it and they didnt get all the info but in the second article the header lived up to the article's expectations

        Well i guess out or 2 having one with such a high CTR is good

          Now don't draw the conclusion of writing less exciting headlines.
          Rather make sure to write the best possible articles. At least for those sites where you really want to get visitors from. (As opposed to articles that are posted for SEO and backlink only)

    Ralf is exactly right. The headline was good, the article just needed to be better or as good as the headline suggests.
