Well, I wanna start doing something. I don't have any money to invest so I decided article writing.

Is there any websites that have a decent pay for articles?

I was thinking of Associated Content and have submitted a few articles and now I'm waiting. Is AC worth it?

What other sites are there like AC.

I would prefer upfront payments instead of payment by views/clicks.

    Don't waste time there, go to Freelancer.com or elance.com and work uber cheap until you get reviews and then charge more. Simple as that, you'll make 1000% more there than AC.

      That's a good suggestion, actually. Had a friend who made some pretty decent money that way.

      You can also offer to write articles here on the warrior forum, though it will cost you $20 to make a warrior for hire thread as your ad.

      Another gem which you have to apply for and get accepted is demand studios. Google it.

    Try Constant-Content.com. Expect to write several articles (10+) before selling anything, though it may happen faster than that if you put some thought and effort into creating your content.

    I second the above post - you can make a LOT of money offering services on the WF.

    If you charge $5 for a good quality article (a resonable price), and write 10 a day (which is ridiculously easy, especially if you have research from wikipedia or about.com in front of you), that's $50 a day.

    You can then diversify and offer things such as press releases, submission to article directories as well as writing, and you can start your own blog, writing there.

    Writing is possibly the best skill you can have as a marketer, and it is useful in so many ways. Can you write persuasively? Why not try and upsell a cheap salesletter ($100ish) to a satisfied customer - you'll be surprised at the response rate. Hey, if you're a good salesletter writer you can write cold call scripts for offline marketers and sell THEM as a WSO.

    Literally, there is no excuse not to be raking in the cash when you can write with style, depth and precision.

      Yes, but you still have to get 10 orders a day. Usually this is the hardest part.

      After going through almost a dozen WSOs I'm back to just writing and promoting my writing skills. I've found if you just focus on promoting your writing skills and keeping in good communication with your clients you can't help but make money. I ought to put out a course or something.

    Good options are fiverr.com, elance.com, and right here on the Warrior Forum. Try to get some good reviews before you sell articles here.

    Maybe write some on fiverr and if you get good feeback, write here. Or offer to write articles for free and then use that feedback.

    I was thinking about selling services here as well, but wanted to explore my options before hand.

      Websites that pay for content submission won't pay very good, that's just the way it is. But if you can sell to people and you are a good writer, you can make an excellent amount of money.

          You don't need any reputation. You can start stright away. Write one or two samples in case anybody asks, but don't wait to get reputation. Some have recommended Fiverr, Elance or Freelancer. I wouldn't recommend starting there. It takes to much time and you have to bid lower than others and then wait for your money :-(

          Take the initiative and create a WSO or offer your services in the Warriors for hire category. You will get customers easily and they will pay you upfront in to your PayPal account. Don't deliver the work first and then wait for payment.

          That's what I recommend. Once you write articles and have money coming in, you can always take some further steps.

      You price your articles yourself. Typically it's about $25-30 each for 300-500 words.

      CC also puts out article requests when people are looking for a specific article to be written. Many times the offer is $50+.

      One thing to keep in mind with CC is that they take a sizable cut of your earnings. 35%, if I'm remembering correctly. So you'll want to take that into account when setting the price for your articles.

    If you are looking for sites that will pay you, here is a pretty good list :

    people mentioned constant content, and I agree that it is pretty good. It works differently, as they do not actually pay for your articles. Instead, you submit articles and set your own price, and then you hope that they sell. You can make great money off of that site, but you have to write perfectly and you have write articles that sell.

    All in all, going straight freelance is the most profitable route. Of course you have to go through the process of getting (and keeping) clients, but you have the advantage of being able to charge whatever you want. If you are good at writing you can make good money.

    Why not go the other route and set up a WP blog and start promoting affiliate products? Sure, not guaranteed money like people buying articles from you and it will take longer to actually see cash coming in, but you'll be establishing a business rather than just working for the money

        Set up some squidoo pages and hub pages instead. One thing you are not realizing is that is why those free sites are there. It is to give people a chance to make some money to upgrade to a paid site later on.             A info domain only cost .99 cents and you can get hosting for under 10 a month to start. It may not be the best hosting but that is still under 10 to get started and if you head over to one of the freelance sites as I said you can do one job for someone there and have that covered.

                Yes you have to pay to post a warrior for hire posting. I would recommend vworker my self. However if you are interested I can get you some work to do for I have several sites all of which I update on a regular basis and I have a massive project going on right now with a new site so I do not have the time to give them the new content they need. Let me know how much for a 500 word article and we will see if we can get you enough to get that site you want.

                    It doesnt cost you any thing to bid on jobs at vworker. I think to post a warrior for hire here at warrior forum is like 20 but I am not certain of that. All the freelance sites are going to have pretty much the same set up they will charge you a commission % of the money you earned for getting the jobs once they are completed. I also know that at vworker you can have the money deposited directly to your pay pal atleast it used to I do not know if this is true as of now since I have not done any work there for about 2 years now.

    If you want to make money writing your best bet is doing so through the free lance sites like vworker and elance. The money is not completely upfront but it is paid for deliverables. So when ever you finish a project the employer will then realease the funds to you. Good luck hope this helps

    There are other sites like AC on which you can get a decent pay for article writing. Try sites like Freelancer.com or elance.com surely you will enjoy the pay you'll get from them. However, it will be a case to case base then since every individual got different experience though.

    If time comes that you'll find it unworthy at all, you can also try for direct client who requires article for their certain site/market.

      Yes, I think that's your best bet to get your article writing launched on the proper foot so that you can get lots of repeat customers over time!     I'm short on time right now, so I haven't read all the other replies and therefore don't know if I'm repeating what others have already said. But this is what I do for a part-time living, so here goes:

    AC is a great place to start. If you become a Featured Contributor in three channels, as they allow, you can guarantee you'll earn $90 - $100 per month there.

    Obviously, that's supplemental.

    You can also make money working at places like Bright Hub, where they pay $10 per article plus revenue share, London Brokers, and Demand Studios. You really want to get into Demand because they pay $15 per article. They're more strict, naturally, but there is never a shortage of assignments. Right now they have over 300,000 assignments in the queue.

    Finding a few great clients is what you're looking for. They can really put you over the top. Do a great job and clients will follow. Qualify them for honesty and responsibility and you're good to go.

    I've also visited several sites and started my services there.
    I will probably be able to get the $20 by tomorrow, and will provide free services for the first few days and see how it goes.

      Focus more on starting a business in here. You'll get far more consistent work and referrals than trying to get paid at the sites you mention, realize that not every article you submit there is going to get accepted.

          I absolutely plan on doing this later. But I would still like to provide writing services.

            Just wanted to drop back in and say good luck if you can get that 20 and get your spot on the warrior for hire section.

            Be sure that it is with in reason. Do not price the work to high either. Typically 500 word articles go for anywhere from 3-7 per article. Atleast those are the prices many are willing to pay. I have paid more my self but it was only because I knew the writer and the work they did do for me in the past.

            So try to be as reasonable as possible for starting out. You could even go lower and you would be bombarded inmo with jobs to do so long as people like your work. Any how hope it all works out for you if you ever have any questions do not hesitate to ask. Best of luck to you.

    Get enough money for The War Room and go on. Purchase a domain and host and test my skills in affiliate marketing. Then I will do both writing services and complete my website, slowly.

      You have a good plan there. With writing services, you always need to let people have samples of your writing style in the beginning when you're an unknown entity. As you build reputation and credibility, not only will you get repeat business, you'll also get people being referred to you.

      Once you start earning some money you can utilize your writing skills for affiliate marketing, which ultimately pays more but will entail a longer wait for the commission checks which typically take a few weeks to arrive.

    I'm new to the forum infact i have never sold any articles online, i have mainly concentrated on print and i wanted to try out writing online. I have been clueless for a very long time and i just want to say that this thread has really been useful in fact really does not cut it VERY useful. thanks guys.

      I don't mean to be a party pooper....but, I have an issue with some of the advice given here...

      I realize the importance of working hard to get your writing/services "traction"....there are MANY approaches to monetizing online writing. Unfortunately, I do truly believe that the same crowd that you would be giving free articles to probably won't even pay more than $5-$10/article...

      On top of that, when you sell an article, you give up complete rights to it. Whether you use your own site, or a Web 2.0 site (that DOESN'T hold your content hostage, per their TOS), I would be very wary of selling content for below what you are worth. I tend to disagree about writing for lifetime residuals vs. outright selling content.

      One gentleman I know earns $50+/day consistently, without doing ANYTHING, from writing articles for lifetime residuals. He hasn't written an article in months, and those articles continue to earn.

      Even a sub-par performing article for lifetime residuals can absolutely slaughter outright selling an article for $15-$20-$25-$30. Most places online won't give writers more than $15, from what I've seen. We all have to think about this as a business....

      If they are paying you $15 for lifetime rights to your article, you can guarantee that that company will earn $50-100-200-thousands off the back of that single article for its lifetime....

        1-what service is your friend using to get paid so handsomely residually?

        2-sometimes we writers get in a pinch and need some quick cash, so we will sell well below our worth for that quick cash, and also to snag a regular client.

    You might want to come up with a package of 10 articles and sell it as PLR with a limit of the number of sets you will sell. Doing it this way you should be able to make more money.

      I got started writing for residual income sites like ehow (which has since migrated to a different platform).
      By writing for these sites I was able to figure out how to write for the search engines and what articles made money.
      My top article has made close to $1,000 in residual income (not including the income from traffic to my site and affiliate sales).

      I would suggest that you consider writing for residual and flat rate pay sites.
      Then you can enjoy fast immediate income and income that pays out for a long time.

      Eventually I moved on to create my own sites so I do not write for the residual sites as much but I still enjoy getting monthly payouts from them.

    I was on Freelancer for the last few months, and honestly they really do NOT pay well. If you could try working your a$$ off, and get only $0.75 per article, go ahead.

    The only way to get your service 'Traction' is by offering free reviews. Nearly everybody and their cat [Dog is WAYYY overused] would jump on your free article writing offer, and you could start getting testimonials by the end of the day.
