Proof Online Marketing Works?

Got my mail today (not email) and shared it with my Twitter. I'll post it here too as it demonstrates what massive effects the internet has online as well as off it.

The new book is about 2/3 as thick as the old one.

Snap up those domains folks, they might be very useful

You might find this a good read too.

MASSIVE changes to Google Places today.

The listings in the maps no longer appear in the small list like they USED TO.

The listing now get an individual listing with additional info next to them such as reviews and ratings - WHERE ORGANIC USED TO BE.

      This is huge

Saw the same thing this afternoon. I started checking different browsers because I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
On the term I searched, the local listings basically displaced the organic listings off the first page.

I thought Twitter was dead? I think most marketers are just using it to get links in google now.

Thanks for sharing this post. It seems that all the elements found in places are already found on the search as snippets. And yes, they are not grouped into boxes anymore but as organic search results. Better fix those places again.
