Anyone really good with iContact?

INTERNET MARKETING

I am doing some work for a consulting client and he uses iContact which I have no familiarity with.

I am trying to set up some basic list automation so that when a subscriber joins "List A", they are also automatically subscribed to "List B".

This is a super simple task in Aweber as you just set up a global automation command, but I cannot figure out how to do it with icontact.

Anyone know how to do this?

Hi Tanner,

I've used iContact for a couple years. It's a pretty simple system and unfortunetely the type of automation you are looking for isn't a feature yet. You can do list segments, and then save the segments (so it's kind of like a separate list) and then you can market to the segments, but you can't actually have them join another list/campaign (list b) by default based on if they join A.

Unfortunetely you can only send one-time blasts to the segments and not have an autoresponder setup. This is a huge disadvantage to icontact. I personally would love to have a seperate campaign/autoresponder setup for one of my segments (people who open my emails but don't click) but can't do it in icontact. Atleast not automatically.

Hey Tanner

If your client understands maybe it would be a good idea to show the benefits and down falls of aweber vs constant contact for this circumstance and show the effect it has on the profit margin.

That might be another way to look at it As I find most of my clients come around when I give them strong statistics and numbers they cannot ignore. Otherwise I would follow Eillers advice as it is spot on.
