Uploading files to Amazon S3 is problematic.. alternatives?

No matter how many times I try to upload a file, it's not working.

Not anymore.

A couple of months ago I had no problems, but lately :-(

I have used Cloudberry, S3 Firefox, S3 Browser, Easy Video Player, but no succes.

Files are uploading and then all of a sudden the connection breaks ( on the host ).

Of course I've submitted logfiles, diagnostics reports etc. and it's nice to know that they are working on it.

However... I am anxious to get on with things.

Does anybody know about an alternative?

might be the time difference problem? I've encountered something similar before....they told me to change the clock settings of my pc....I keep disconnecting when uploading stuff.

I just switched to a mac, had 0 problems with it. LOL

    I am on pc.

Nothing against mac, but I wasn't really thinking to change systems just to upload to S3.

Could you tell a bit more about this clock and the timezones?

Have you tried to use the upload form?

        @ Wide

        Thank you for the tip.

I tried it, but exactly the same thing happened.

Well... I am not going to buy a mac, just to upload files to S3.

So what else is there apart from S3?

        Mediafire?

Don't know why that should matter. But then again, I'm on a Mac.

You sure this doesn't have anything to do with your ISP? Are you using DSL or Cable? Or dial up (gosh I hope not, lol)

The error message is something like: host server has broken the connection.

When I upload the same files to my webhost, no problem.

            So it's unlikely my isp.

Maybe I should look into a host that allows a ton of concurrent connections?

I remember Josh Anderson talking about that and recommending aplus and powweb. Does anybody have experience with using them?

    Hey,

I've always had issues with S3 to be honest.... I use s3hub on mac now, and it works like a dream... Although my mac is a piece of junk, that doesn't start 50% of the time. Requires a reboot to get going... Well, next time I won't buy one on eBay {Nough said}...

But with that said, I've never figured out a way to get it going on my PC.
