Notification of Payment emails...

Hi Warriors,

I have always wondered about my notification of payment emails from Paypal - I often get different subject lines for the emails for the same product sold.

Subject: Notification of payment received

Subject: Item #123-1 Notification of Payment Received from John Doe

Am I missing something here?

I think it could be because the method the buyer used to make the purchase. not 100% sure. Anyway, "You got the money", I don't care what subject it is.

Yes, I got the money - but I just wondered if it could be a case of coding the payment button differently at my different sites - so it could be a good tracking mechanism of where the sales come from.

    Just thinking.

I got a payment through Paypal a while ago with no notification. I only learned of the purchase when I checked the account for something else. I then had to write to the purchaser and apologise for the delay in him getting his e-book

I would love to know how this happened.

Norma, I usually check my Paypal at least twice a day... For this very reason.

I think it has to do with existing users paying from their established account or people that are using the pay by credit card option (and unwittingly opening a new paypal account by doing so).

Make sure you set up a cash register sound when they arrive in the in-box - can be very motivating.
