How to really make money online - for beginners only

Hello all!

I am new to this forum, but not new to internet marketing. Making money online is a simple process, but, as any other, you need to experiment and play by the rules, or else you're going to live with your parents all day long. That's said, here is my story:

If you ever want to start making money online you need to realize you need some cash to start. You can't make good money without good money! That's a rule! There are some simple ways to start making quick cash online. One of those ways is to start writing articles. You can make a quick buck writing articles online. Remember what I'm saying - content is the king because the internet is full of content. Everyone needs content and if you do that well, then you're going to be, either crazy, or rich.

Another way to make a quick buck online to start your online empire is to flip. If you're going to flip content, websites, domains or codes, that's up to you. The best way to make a quick buck online (and I'm talking hundreds) is to flip domain names.

Then, start your online empire - supersites, EMD, content + buy lots of domains.

But getting the good names and websites to flip
is a Herculean task. It is not a day's job.

Two years ago, I started an online medical supply company. I had a budget to work with, but I decided to shoestring it and started with less than $50. Eight months later, I sold the company for six figures.

I started another project six months ago with a $0 budget and have generated over $250,000 in sales since then. I have used that company as a case study for my private students and they are duplicating it.

Sooooo, I have to disagree with the statement quoted above.

I agree with Brian. If there is a method to make money even with no money down is the Internet. Generally Internet business have low budget requirements in absolute terms and compared to "offline" business.

So I too believe that making money online doesn't require money.

What it requires is treating online business as business and not as a "hobby that can make money", a "get rich quick scheme", something that you do because it's fun. It can be all that but if you want to serious money online, treat it seriously.

      Best,

I guess you need to at least have enough money to pay for your power bill, your internet bill and anything else that's necessary to keep yourself "up and running" on the internet. I think it is possible to get stuff without investing much, but if you really want big returns you might need big investments, though also it could be an investment of something else besides money like time and energy.

    1. Build and start a self hosted Wordpress blog in a niche your interested in for starters.

    2. Promote affiliate programs related to your blogs niche

    3. Drive targeted traffic to your blog, or website. The more the merrier traffic equals money.

    4. Build a responsive mailing list in your chosen niche if possible ( very important)

    5. Rinse, wash, and repeat.....

And always learn, learn, learn, on a continuous basis Internet marketing changes quite a bit. You need to know what is hot and what is not. What works and what don't.

I totally disagree with the statement about needing money to get started. There are a ton of free ideas out there to get you started, plus if you know how to do things right you don't need any kind of advertising budget.

I have two start up costs for every single online business I have ever built (and I've been making a living at this for 15 years): Domain name and website hosting - Cost: $16 or less

Yes, you can certainly make things move a bit faster with some money behind it, but you are also putting yourself at a higher risk if things don't work as you plan. I have poured money into businesses of mine before but only once they achieve a certain level of success.

I also don't like to make my money flipping anything. I think that's more or less something that amateurs do. By amateurs, I mean people that don't have much technical experience. A lot of people start making their first money online writing articles. Any time I have ever needed a quick buck, I've done freelance programming. With that said, I've never paid a single penny to have a website made, designed, programmed, etc. Being able to do those things yourself certainly has it's advantages in this game .

That Is true but not completely true.... with online marketing you don't need money to make money..BUT it helps... with a little knowledge and some money you can go farther faster! In my opinion atleast....and from what I've experienced ..

you can also make money with no money at all!
I started CPA with no money using web 2.0 and made about $80 a month and I never spent a dime ! but then I reinvested that into adwords and other learning material etc..

But, you have to be careful. Are you building a business base or are you just making money? If you only write articles and sell them, with no plan for growth, you could get stuck forever working in the article grist mill.

I have to disagree with the notion that it takes big money to start an internet business. As Brian has pointed out so well in his post, it's possible to start with very little and ramp it up to six figures very quickly if you have the vision and determination to do so. I believe that Tellman Knudson also started his online marketing with about $50 and an ancient computer.

At no other time in history has it been this easy for the small guy to start a six figure business, all because of the internet. I'm not saying that it'll be "pushbutton" easy, but it can be done on a shoestring budget with very little invested into it in monetary terms. Of course you'll have to put a lot of time and effort into it, but with the enormous global reach of the internet that is all you really need to gain some traction.

With the right ambition and the proper amount of effort put in, a six figure business is achievable in a relatively short amount of time. The internet is what allows us to so easily and inexpensively reach such a vast number of people, and if you leverage that then it really does not require a big budget at all to start a lucrative business online!

I agree with everyone who said that you should treat your online venture as a business and not just as a hobby. I have made my success using a small investment, however I have met a couple ppl who have are making a lot more money than me with only $20 startup cost.

My suggestion, find a market, a competitive market. Create a product, create a sales letter. Recruit affiliates, submit to clickbank and generate traffic
