Good list but affiliate marketing kind of goes with blogging to monetize your blogs unless you have your own products to sell.

But having your own blogs is definitely my number 1 make money online strategy.

Traffic is the main ingredient to monetize anything though without targeted traffic you will not make any money.

I agree with Joseph! List building is the key to making money online! If you have a large list, you have more people to promote your affiliate link to etc.

Your right listbuilding is by far the best way I use my blog as a platform to build my list. But you need targeted traffic for your list to grow so traffic is essentially the most important thing you can do online to make money.

After the traffic comes your list grows, your sales go up etc... Everything falls into place.

List building isn't really the monetisation though.

Even once you have a list, the monetisation is through either selling your own stuff as a product owner or selling other people's stuff as an affiliate. Of course, CPA and other branch off marketing strategies are essentially affiliate marketing.

It boils down to providing a service or a physical/digital product that people want. Then you choose paid or free.

Are you going to provide a free service like a blog and try to make money with ads?

Are you going to provide a free product like some software and make money with upsales or ads sent to the mailing list you just built?

Are you going to provide a paid product like tshirts?

Are you going to provide a paid service like IM coaching?

Decide which you want to do and concentrate on it. Everything else that you mention like affiliate marketing, seo, articles, list build etc is all just way to funnel traffic to a service or product.

There is no best way only which way you want to go.
