Just got a new dot com

Coupon code:

CAUTION - this adds a free trial of "website tonight" for 2 months I believe? If you have hosting be sure to remove this option before payment. You will see it on the check out page.

If you accidently forget to remove the website tonight (like I did lol), you can select it on the side panel after purchase, and just cancel it immediately.

If you have never made a site before and want to play around, try it out!

I used website tonight on my first website which I made several thousand dollars promoting an affiliate product and using adwords for traffic.

You can get a site up in just a couple of hours. It is just limited to a few pages, but if you want to test things and learn it will be easy to figure out.

I don't recommend it for long term - expenses are much cheaper on your own hosting and you can do a lot more once you get to that point.

Jill, thanks for the heads up. Apparently without realizing it I had signed up for the Website Tonight (thrice!)when I purchased some discounted domains. Thanks to your tip, I visited GoDaddy and canceled them.

Godaddy has always been a little sneaky with their upsells. You really have to watch out for them on the check out page and the upsell pages before that - they have apparently perfected this as they're definitely the most profitable registrar around!

I picked up a domain last night. As long as you refuse all the upsells, you should not get any unpleasant billing surprises down the road.

Just wanted to drop a line and say thank you.

Would you happen to have any details on how long this code is good for?

I did just use it to register a new site I'm starting soon - just remove the website tonight from checkout and you'll still get the discount.

After the fee added in, you'll pay exactly $1.18 for a domain name using this promo code .

Hey guys, in order not to get a subscription to the website tonight, when you reach the page that the final payment button is on, look at your shopping cart up in the top right corner, it will have 2 items in it. Click on it and de-select the subscription, then choose go to cart.

    Can't beat a $1.18 .com name.

I don't know what borhon means, but borhon.com could probably be sold at a profit to Kami Borhon, who owns Kami Borhon Studios, which I found by googling borhon.

Edit: I'd like to give a shout out to Kami Borhon who will probably arrive here after seeing this WF thread in her logs.

The $1 domain name is good if you don't need whois privacy.

But if you want to add whois privacy to that $1 domain name, it will cost $11.99 extra. So it ends up costing $12.99 a year.

Netfirms will sell you a domain plus whois privacy for $7.99 for the first year. Every year after that, it's $10/year.

edit: looks like godaddy charges 7/year for privacy. The $1 domain, with privacy added, will renew at about $20/year. Godaddy also has probably the most convoluted ordering process in the business.

Namecheap has free WHOIS privacy maybe just not as 'private' as the paid ones though. But good enough to keep away spies that use only the normal WHOIS search tools.
