Monthly commissions or flat payment? How much do you expect?

In the process of launching a monthly PLR membership and because there are spots left, I'm tossing around the idea of opening an affiliate program for it.

When it comes to commissions on membership sites, do you prefer monthly recurring or a single payment?

How about percentage? This particular membership is only 27 per month but I anticipate satisfied members and a low attrition rate. What flat amount or percentage do you think I should offer affiliates?

Thanks for any advice.

    I'd prefer recurring commissions.

Your product isn't something I could promote because of my niche, but in answer to your question I wouldn't consider anything less than 50%.

    Recurring is prefered.

Unless you're going the way of the web hosting model (which is easily gamed, not at all useful) I'd suggest going recurring. If it's a solid product, anything between 40 - 60% for affiliates (maybe even throw in a free membership) would work fine.

The way of payout used with web hosts- by that do you mean, multiple month combined up front? If so, you certainly have a point.

    Great advice. I appreciate it.
