Is it Possible To Make $500 In A Week Using Only 1 Site?

Hi im pretty much new to this forum, but I have quite a bit of experience as a IM.

I have experience in Article Marketing, SEO Optimization/ Keyword Research, Blogging, And a few other marketing fields. I also have a bit of copywriting skills and plan on releasing 6 products as a package very soon.

I am not like most others who simply place this question thinking there is no work involved and that a system will do all the work for me, but rather some good ideas you would use to meet this goal in 1 week using only a few resources and hard work and determination.

The only tools you would have is a domain name currently with a wordpress theme applied, hosting account, adsense, your skills and the internet of course to get you going, but no more included investment money besides that.

How would you go about making $500 In only a week under these circumstances?

Yes, of course that's possible. But it doesn't always happen, it can be hit and miss with some sites.

Looks like you will be trying to get some free traffic so you can go down the road of SEO or you can drive traffic with articles and videos as a combination.

Even a free blog (blogger) can get you $500 in a week. find the high paying niches, add powerful content, do SEO. It will increase your income day by day, you cant get that 500$ mark in a week or so.

OMG thats some really bad advice!!!! seriously.

The real secret to making $500 bucks or more, is to start slowly, be realistic. Remember that things take time, and most people give up right before they are about to make it.

Your first goal is to make it to the $50 a week level...find things that are working, and then scale that up. It is all about testing. While some things work for some people...other things work for other people.

Oh and build a list, I would make about $10 a week without a list. Seriously when I started adding a list, and helping them, the money didnt just trickle in, it poured in. Helping people for free, that is the easiest way to get money in your pocket down the track.

Remember start small, and have smaller targets, then as you get better aim for $100 weeks, then $1000 weeks. We make alot more than this with our businesses, but remember we were in your shoe once, we started small, tested made sure what we were doing brought in money then just upsaled...and outsource. Whammo!!

      Good luck.

Well this is the best advice so far, but I wanted to know what would be the strategy you would personally use.

To add to this thread I would personally use keyword research to find low competition high search results from phrases a potential buyer would use, and promote clickbank products to that niche as well as offer a free report to include on the site.

Since I also plan on releasing several books of my own, I would do the same for the niches corresponding to my ebooks, as well as write maybe 10 articles for each and spin each of those to create 30 unique articles, submit the origionals to my site and the rest to high PR article directories linking back to my site, and finally make sure to include a lot of free opportunities along with my books on my site.

The only flaw in my personal strategy is no Autoresponder, meaning there is no way to build a list. Other than that just direct unique traffic to the site hosting the products as well as adsense, and possibly a few weebly sites promoting clickbank products on the side as well as freelance to make this goal easily accomplished.

Please give me some feedback on my idea even though its a bit spotty on the details since more things will be included, but summary is create a business plan, shoot for higher than your goal, maybe even $5,000 and hope to fall in between but still become happy with the results as long as it's $500

First things first. I hate people that come in here, promising the world. I was once a newbie and this is a fantastic forum...but you have to sit down and be true to yourself. If you want to fire you boss, you have to work hard at it, day in and day out.

Your plan is good. But where most people fail is sitting there, dreaming a big idea, holding their fake $100,000 check and dreaming money will come to them. Its the first step, but next take action. I mean any little things you can think of. Just take action, even if you fail you know that you screwed it up royally....but BINGO you now know what you should not focus on....

I have screwed up big time in the past, and i would say out of about 5 things I try, 2 screw up badly...1 is mediocre, and the other two really hit the ball out of the park. So I just go with the flow and concentrate on the two that bring me good money.

If you go back and read my statement about a list, you are wasting your time online if you dont buy aweber or getresponse (or any other) autoresponder. SIMPLE AS THAT! 65% - 70% of the sales i make are from sending emails to qualified lists. Articles marketing makes up the other 20% or so. Then direct seo traffic.

Sorry if I am repeating myself, but you cutting yourself short by not having list. Having a list of people waiting for your emails, is like a license to print money.

People do not come in here and post "I built a damn list, and I am making damn money!" for no reason. It works, so as my mentor once said, the best time to start building a list of qualified prospects is YESTERDAY! when you work this out.....you will never ever have to work for a smelly, fat arse, numb nuts boss ever again in our LIFE!

Come back and let us know how you go.

Hope this helps you make the green stuff!

          Celente.

Not using an autoresponder will definitely handicap you, but there are other ways, more tedious ways, to build a list without one. The autoresponder, usually associated with "building" a list, does much more than this. It's "all that other manual stuff" that will make you work much harder than you have to. I guess that's why you are thinking Adsense.

I'm sure that others who know a lot more about marketing than I do could advise you better. I really agree that there are easier ways to get to your goal of $500 per week than with Adsense. You will normally need a bucket load of traffic on a consistent basis to make that happen.

            Just so we're clear:

bhunter1212, do you mean Start from nothing on Monday and get $500 by Sunday starting from only a PC and a dream? If so, the answer is "most likely not".

You could do this by the end of the month pretty easy, but to do this on Monday, and have $500 by Sunday with no existing list...

How much money are you thinking of spending on PPC traffic?

If you could do that, without spending hundreds on PPC, you don't need our advice, we need yours...

If you mean Starting this month and getting to $2000 a month with just one website, yes it can be done, but it will take a lot of time and a lot of effort.

So much time and effort that most who start down the road quit before ever seeing a dollar.

If you can go weeks without seeing a single dollar while you're building your list and increasing your exposure, and not lose hope, then maybe, just maybe, you'll get that $2K a month.

Of course it can be done. It's called having a business

A different thing is if you want it to be on that mark after just one week life. That is much harder to achieve. But if what you want is to build it to the point in which it makes $500 a week as a result of growing of course it can be done.

Pick a niche you know about if you want a solid start. It can be done in a niche you know nothing about, itsimply requires doing research prior to getting knee deep into it.

Ideally you want to make it about something you are passionate about. It makes things a lot easier as you will thoroughly ENJOY wht you are doing, which will be helpful when the nearly inevitable trial and error frustration starts biting.

From that point on its a matter that has been discussed and explained to death on this forum:

          - Quality Content
          - Good Layout
          - On page SEO
          - Off page SEO
          - Build quality traffic
          - Monetizing options (Adsense or Adsense like advertising, affiliate marketing, creating your own product, building a list, Banner advertising, local marketing if its a local focused site, etc
          - Automatisation of as many processes as possible to streamline
          - Constant improvement which means going over everything above mentioned in an organised manner to improve it.

If you do all of this AND manage to develop a strong Brand that people get to know and trust you are guaranteed to go well beyond the $500 weekly mark. If you dont believe me you can ask thep eople at Google, Facebook, Amazon, Ebay (you know who Im talking about right?)

The point is, treat it the same way you would treat an offline business and the $500 mark will soon be a thing of the past.

Of course there is also the option of building a lot of smaller ones that add up ( there is currently a vey hot topic about VRE going here) but with a one site option theplan is basically to nurture it the tried and proven way.

          Hope this helps.

PS: Re reading this post I realized once again how on paper an internet business doesnt sound that complicated. Makes you wonder why most people never make a dime with it.)

Easiest way to make $500 in a single week?

            Collect and sell leads.

Step 1 - Contact several businesses that are driven by having workable leads. Real estate agents, mortgage brokers, credit repair, specialty surgeons, general contractors, etc are all a good jumping off point. Ask them if they are interested in buying, and working qualified leads that you collect.

Step 2 - Funnel leads from Facebook, Twitter, and the search engines to your site with opt-in.

            Step 3 - Profit

            Step 4 - Repeat

If you had even a little bit of money to spend on advertising, you could POTENTIALLY make $500 in a matter of a couple of days...

            4) Find someone who is successful and find out why, then, sell what they sell & mimic their sales funnel! *touch of the nose here*

            5) Work your ass off, don't sleep then work your ass off some more till u see results!

            6) Watch the money come in!

            7) REWARD YOURSELF! ...u deserve it. ahhhhhhh!

Thanks for all the feedback guys, but actually I for one am not chasing a dream.

I plan on having 6 ebooks for sale each with 20 low competition keywords at least and 3 articles for each one. thats 60 articles per book and each one should hit top rank on google easily.

Of course it is best to first post on my site, then to submit to article directories to build backlinks. Afterwards I would plan on creating a facebook page, group, and use yahoo answers as well.

I also have implemented Onlywire and each of its social bookmarking sites.

To sum things up, I plan on dominating 300 keywords and writing 1,000 articles spread between my 15 income streams all in one week.

In reality its only around 400 articles I will write so its not as crazy as it sounds.

With those numbers for unique traffic supposedly coming in, I believe I could reach that goal in a week.

Also keep in mind that I am experienced with SEO,metas, slugs, spiders and more so each of those articles would help bring all of that in.

Say its a 7 week challenge. With this in mind, do you think it would bring in 500 dollars in the first week if you could be able to complete the 1,000 quality articles in the first day? Also if the 6 ebooks would be released the same day along with other free for all but beneficial income sources on your site as well?

Great stuff guys keep it up

My funnel goes exactly like this, and works a treat :-

Freebie offer (get em' on the list) > Product > Upsell > Continuity Membership > VIP Video Continuity Membership > Offline Seminar > Coaching (off / on) > VIP Coaching ( off /on)

Most people that I see marketing stop at about step 1 or two. Oh DEAR!

Once you got em on your list, try to keep em there for life, trust me ....you wont regret it!!

Agree, no rocket science needed to figure that hungry people need burgers right now.

To the OP, yes, with a bit of work, a single-niche website can potentially give you 5 figures per month or even 6-figure in some cases, let alone $500, if you sell the right kind of things to the right kind of buyers.

Awesome. I've been really appreciating your posts Celente.

I concur also - you have to be really driven. The other day I was up all day/ all night- 3 hours sleep in-between. Madness some may say - for me it's just what needed to be done.

If you would like to make money from the current tools you have, you could easily turn your wordpress site into a review site. A autoresponder series along with your topic would be the best option, but you can still do very well with a review site.

Combine it with video, article, forum, and blog marketing for results. Without adding an autoresponder, you are missing out on repeat business which can make your goal of reaching $500/week come quicker. Just something to think about.

Although I have made some sites that end up making $500+ a week, it's never really something I try to do unless I am involved in some sort of large-scale project.

I think too many people are focused on the big numbers to really see that the money left to be made is usually in the smaller numbers. I target a lot of very specific niches. Some of them are so small that I ultimately get the choice of any domain name with keywords that I want. Many people would consider those types of sites to be a waste of time, but I pump out quite a few of these things that make a very nice amount of income when you add it all together. Personally, I would rather have 500 websites that make $1 a day over 1 website that makes $500 a day. I'm not much of the type to keep all my eggs in the same basket .

It is entirely possible, but I just don't think it's something you should aim for right away. Start small and work you way up. My best site makes $15k every month, but it didn't get there overnight and it certainly wasn't my first website.

Basically traffic is needed to stay for long in this online marketing industry....Free domain can never get you high rank in the engine if you don't have valuable traffic...first you have to know how to get thousands of visitor on your site before thinking about the revenue...In online marketing and business niche, traffic means revenue...

      Or you can buy traffic.

Founding an online business on free traffic is possible, but founding it on paid traffic is much easier, faster and in the end, better.

It's easier because if your business model cannot profit after traffic expenses, it's not very solid (a tweak in the Google algoritm and your business disappears).

So if you can work out a profit with advertising expenses (PPC but also banners) then you know it works. And you can probably scale it up so, turning up your ad investments knob turns out the money in the bank (up to a threshold).

At the end of the day, making money online is direct response marketing that works when you spend less than you make and work to widen the gap between the two.

It is very much so possible. I make the mentioned sum in one day from one website.

This is very possible, but if you're only using Adsense to monetize your site then it's going to be a long road to that $500/week. What I would do is set either set it up as a lead generation site where you can either sell the leads (as Jeremy has mentioned above) or lease the site, in addition to that you could also use high-paying CPA lead offers as well.

There are pros and cons to each approach above, and you just have to decide on which business model is best for you.
