Will this work for a sales funnel?

I'm brand new to IM, though I've been trying to make money online for over a year (a blog with adsense, $15 so far).

I'm not going to give up no matter what. I'm no longer able to work for minimum wage, making someone else's dreams come true, so much so that I've been homeless for a year and a half.

I have set up one affiliate marketing wordpress site, though I made a mistake in selecting the keywords. It's on the front page but only getting about one visitor a day. I think I know how to choose keywords now, but I'm thinking that maybe a sales funnel and a clickbank product might suit my situation a bit better. I'm getting $300 a month from the state (plus foodstamps) that I can spend anyway I want, but it won't last, and it's not enough to live indoors on.

If I'm wrong about the sales funnel please tell me, I have an affiliate site ready to go and another half done. I just need to buy the domain names and a link cloaker.

I'm following yesacpow's outline for creating a sales funnel "What is the best way to start online with only $150" from a couple of days ago.

I'm working on a squeeze page, and I'm starting to wonder if I picked an appropriate niche.

Does anyone think woodworking/diy will work for this style of marketing? Does anyone know of any website I could -ripoff- er, I mean, get some ideas from on how to set this up?

P.S. When I found WarriorForum a couple of days ago I felt like a kid in a candy shop. Now, I just need to make some money and become a true Warrior.

Welcome to the forum!

I applaud your ambition, but after reading what I quoted above, I suggest that you get a job and work on IM in your spare time. Desperation usually leads to failure and I would hate for you not to be living "indoors".

If you are dead set against a job or physically unable, then try doing some services to get the money rolling in before you spend all of your time on trying to get traffic.

Some quick bucks can be made by writing articles for others or creating videos with free screen capture software.

Best of luck. I hope you remain "indoors".

It's too late, I've been outdoors for over a year now.

I'm not desperate, not for the short term anyway. I'm just dead serious. Yeah, I'm aware of other ways to make money online, but if I'm going to do that kind of stuff, I'd rather do it for myself. It's that 'making other people dreams come true' thing. I want to work for myself.

I'll have $300 tommorrow and $300 every month for 6 months maybe a year and a half.

Oh, so you want to take other people's money and invest that, rather than making your own money to invest? Another sign of the times.

If money is so tight I think I would do the following:

Get an email autoresponder (MailChimp is free for up to 500 subscribers).
Pick a niche you are interested in that you would be comfortable writing content for.
Write or buy a quality report that anyone interested in the niche would be interested in downloading.
Buy a domain name that 'fits with' the niche, but don't worry too much about getting a keyword rich domain.
Create a simple landing page on your domain which describes the benefits of the report created in step 3 above, and ask for an email address in return for the free report.
Do your niche keyword research.
Write 500-700 word articles for each of your keywords, and ensure they only contain quality content. Upload them to Ezinearticles, with a link back to your landing page.
Use emails to build a relationship with your subscribers. Really get to know them, run surveys etc... to determine what they want/need. Mix in promotional emails for products and services that meet their biggest wants and needs.

You have assets. Sort of.

You can eat without spending your cash, so it seems. I suggest you try to turn your 300 a month in to 600 buxs this first month through a series of TRANSACTIONS, that is, check your local craigslist...since you have internet, somehow. Maybe a friend or library?

Look for stuff on craigslist which is free or low cost, stuff you can carry on you (like cameras) and try to "flip" it for a profit. A year on the streets you've picked up some street knowledge.

Seriously, your "attitude" about not wanting to "work for the man" (my words) is working against you, not for you.

You apparently don't have any other concerns, worries or expenses, so try to turn you cash into double every month. First month, end up with 600. Second month end up with 1200. Third, 2400 and try to keep building your cash up.

My opinion is, you won't do this. But, it is doable. IF you choose to pursue this, email me what city you are in and I'll personally search craigslist and point out some "chattel" (personal property) you could buy and flip for a profit, after all, I've written the book on doing this.

Okay. So I find stuff on Craigslist, where am I selling it? Ebay?

I really do want to build websites though. It appeals to my geek and my mastermind personalities. But, I have purchased plans for a sailboat I can build and live on. About $4k would probably get me in the water.

I have a lot of things working against me. I've fixed the things I can, and I'm trying to work around what I can't.

I use SUPERIOR marketing methods. HEY, you want to do IM, the M stands for marketing. Craigslist is an excellent place to find out if you can "sell" stuff. LOOK at the crummy, crappy ads people have, many without even a picture of something.

IMAGINE what you could do, knowing what you do know already, about "Marketing". You can see from the WSO section, as an example, how some people create COMPELLING ads and write copy that is irresistable.

You can do the same thing with Craigslist. I'd stick there. You can find a digital camera in the morning, take a bus (see, you don't even need a car to do this) and make an offer, turn around and sell it for more than you paid plus "travel" expenses.

You will need a digital camera, can pick one up on craigslist or one that will do in Walmart, and you use PICTURES with SUPERIOR MARKETING to sell them. You can meet at a local McDonald's for "everyone's" safety.

IF you do have a car or access to one, you can get bigger pieces of stuff and flip them. The object is to make a game out of it, FLIP as fast as you can, always for a profit...not get greeeeeddy with any one good deal and keep Perfecting your MARKETING skills as you make money.

Speaking of PLANS. There are fortunes being made selling PLANS. You don't need money to build a boat, you can use other VALUE to trade for one, OR you can keep CIRCULATING your money until you can afford to build one.

YEA, I know about things working against you. Turns out, we ALL have our own demons to deal with, I know of NO one being handed a silver spoon.

And fixing and working around is a good start. B U T at some point, you have to make the tough decision about what you want your life to become...and decide and develop a PLAN of ACTION which will take you there.

I'd suggest releasing some WSOs. As you're new to IM, you're of course not going to be able to create and sell products teaching others how to make money - but, you can create PLR packages based on niches that you know a bit about. PLR content sells pretty well here on the forum.

If you are able to commit a decent amount of working hours each day, then you'll be able to make probably around $2000 per month if you go about it the right way. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

P.S. Even if you don't enjoy this kind of work, it's just one of the areas of IM that is good for getting some money together fast. Other ways include article writing and copy writing. I used to do article writing, I didn't enjoy it but it was good for back when I was poor.
