My Experiment to Make $700 in One Week

I've recently moved and was looking for a way to make extra money (just in case there was a moving emergency). I had a goal to have $700 just in case.

I listed a new Macbook laptop I received as a "moving gift" on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace for $1000 and immediately began getting offers for it and my phone was lighting up with interested buyers. After negotiating with a buyer over the phone I almost sold it for $900 but decided it was better to have it rather than not.

But this opened my eyes to selling online. I wouldn't thinking about selling physical products- now I'm reconsidering that. The ability to get $900 in cash in only one day really sparked my interest. Even in this economy people will still happily shell out cash for certain products. I'm sure people are already Christmas shopping now online.

Just wanted to make a quick post for those who are struggling as affiliates with digital products. You can expand into marketing physical products.

For instance there's a guy who has a website dedicated to getting look-a-like clothes that are worn in movies and TV shows; all affiliate links and I'm sure he's doing pretty well. If you have the money buying and selling physical products is also an option and it can be a nice part time or full time money maker.

Awesome post. It's almost always true that it's easier to sell physical products than digital ones.

Take the xbox 360 for example. You don't need to do any selling, because it's already been done for you by Microsoft. They've invested millions in building a brand for their product, so most people already know what it is. In fact, tons of people are looking to buy this exact product. They're already sold, so all you have to do is provide the product.

That's true, buyers are already pre-sold on major brands or brands they're familiar with. People have always said position yourself in front of people who are in a buyer mindset or are ready to purchase a product and you will make money.

It's all about positioning yourself. It doesn't always have to be hard to make money online but it does take some amount of planning and thinking outside of the box.

I have also noticed on most of these auction sites that the physical products sell quicker and better than digital products do.
