Brand new newbie

Hello all.

I joined this forum due to seeng it mentioned several times amongst the tons of reading and research I've been doing for some type of Internet online business to get into.

I can't even guess how many programs, systems, schemes, plans, scams, and so forth I have looked at in the last few weeks. I'm sure some are legitimate while I also know some are shady if not complete scams. Of course a common trait for many of them is "buy mine" and make gazillions of dollars almost instantly.

I hope it is not inappropriate to start out by asking for advice and recommendations.

What programs/systems do you recommend for a somewhat green newbie to the world of Internet marketing/business? I don't have a lot to spend right now and am not looking to make a gazillion dollars overnight.

      Welcome to the forum. They're are a lot of good programs/lessons available, but for right now I'd suggest putting the wallet away and reading the forum. You'll find a lot of people have shared high quality tips, techniques, and strategies that you can use.

      Once you have a little more context, you can decide what it is you need to learn and go from there.

    Finding the gems amongst all of the schemes is a major headache. I know my suggestion will be different from the marketers on this site (i am no marketer).

    1) First, really scope out your markets, which markets are you interested in? I know that "focus" is the key in this game. You cant waste your time reading articles and ebooks that all say the same thing and are generally outdated anyways. That will just give you headaches and confuse the hell out of you.

    2) Try and read Alexa's top 500 (in the world) websites. Look at every one, and see if you can understand WHY they are the top 500. Are there any that you didn't expect to see? This can be pretty educational, and give you a good idea where the world is at.

    3) Always read GOOGLE TRENDS, and their charts.

    4) Maybe get some technological ideas as to how the internet works. That is a great way to see thru the scams and know what works and what doesn't.

    Site flipping is a good way to get started making money online. Basically:
    • Download and get comfortable with Wordpress
    • Research Some Niches for a Website
    • Find a good Wordpress Template
    • Get some cheap hosting
    • Install Wordpress and a good template
    • Get a niche related domain name
    • Write some niche related articles
    • Post the site for sale on forum
    Start to finish this can be done in a few hours when you are starting out. There are some good programs on this forum that will show you how to do this.

    Thanks to you all who have replied so far. I'll be checking back for future replies and have already read numerous posts in the different areas of this forum and will continue to read more while I try to decide on what to focus on.

    And yes, as you probably guessed - I'm a Star Trek fan...

    There is no canned answer for you. You may want to start with an affiliate program of some sort promoting other people's products. From there you get experience and then decide on what you want to sell.

    Hi friend, welcome to the forum. I suggest you go over the posts in here and you will quickly get some good ideas. It pays to know what you are doing before you venture into anything and certainly don't fall for buying stuff until you reach that point.
