How would you maximize your potential profits if you have a brand new ebook?

Hi Warriors,

I just need some advice. I got a brand new ebook, its not yet live, I paid $300 to a very professional and trusted writer to create my 60-page product, the product seems really good, it also includes graphics, banners, sales page, autoresponder emails, jv emails and other promotional tools for my potential affiliates. I also have a back-end product that I'm planning to sell for $77.

The question is, how can I maximize the product and make sure thousands of people will see my product? I'm planning to get some jv partners and offer a very generous commissions, it doesn't matter if I don't make a lot in the front-end, but I'm focusing on back-end sales and building hundreds or thousands of buyers list.

Any ebook sellers who had success in the past, please share some tips. The product is in the IM niche by the way.

Thanks.

I can speak with some experience that it can be pretty hard to find the jv partners that will help you promote.

I made a 60+ page eBook and found it better to give it away for free than to try and sell it, even though it's a very useful eBook.

Unless you know internet marketers already, they will likely be very rude to you when you contact them. They really don't like promoting something that builds a list for you, even if they make money on the upsells.

Unfortunately, most of the big name gurus that come across as really nice people in their list emails are actually very rude and not out for anyone but themselves. 9 of 10 won't reply to your emails and the 1 that does will likely be rude to you.

The WSO sub-forum here is one great way to get started selling an ebook though. It can be an even better way to give away a free ebook that has nice converting upsells on the backend.

Perhaps successful Internet Marketers are just tired of being pitched for JV offers by dozens of people every day. To categorize 90% of them as being "rude" is pretty unfair. They are just treating unsolicited requests as what they really are - an annoyance. Same way you probably treat the spam you receive.

I do however agree with your suggestion of giving the eBook away instead of selling it, especially as it's in the IM field. There is just so much free information out there it's hard to imaging paying 77 dollars for any IM eBook, unless it's written by a well-known name in IM. Unlike other markets, the IM market generally knows how to find information, and Google can answer most of their questions (not to mention the 400 free eBooks they already have on their hard drives).

By giving away the book you are in a position to become an authority and make a name for yourself, assuming of course that the book is good. In the long run it could bring back far more value to you than the few sales you'll get, as it would allow you to build a good sized list.

Not trying to rain on your parade, and I'd be delighted if you prove me wrong and become a millionaire from this. Just my 2 cents.

      Best of luck

      Bill
