Hi all,

I am new to this forum and this is my first post. I have a doubt. I heard about link wheel in SEO but not sure what exactly it is. Can anyone help me here with this? I know that it's something related to link exchange but not sure. Please help me.

      I think its when you have a bunch of different sites, linkng to each other, plus linking to your money site. so if you have feeder sites, plus web 2.0 sites, and some of the links go to each other, and some go to the money site.

      Then there are articles and other 2.0 sites pointing out to them too.


      If you draw this graphically, it looks like a wheel.

        Linkwheel is that you post your articles in different web 2.0 sites, then link to your site and link the web 2.0 sites together like a wheel.

          You've received some technically accurate answers, but they all left one thing out.

          Link wheels are not natural, and they leave big footprints. Once identified, they scream "I'm just trying to game the search engines", and that's something they all frown on. Sometimes to the point of showing you the virtual exits.

          I'm not saying you shouldn't use something like a link wheel to help your rankings, but don't be so mechanical that the pattern shouts its presence...

    A link wheel is when you create a number of Web 2.0 properties (Squidoo, hubpages etc) and link all of them in a chain using the same anchor text. Each linkwheel then points to your main site using the same anchor text.

    The idea is that you concentrate the "link Juice" that you supposedly get from the web 2.0 properties in order to rank you page higher.
