A good camera preferably HD, the backdrop, few lights.

It is all about the backdrop and lighting. I do not see anything special that has been done while editing except close up shots sometimes.

You will need some decent software that has chroma-key features. I produce videos like this all the time using Sony Vegas (the best in my opinion). You will also need a "green screen" backdrop (or a blue one).

This is not a transparent video hence, chorma-key and green screen is not required.

Go to this link and see how it is setup for infinite white backgrounds.

This is one of my favorite styles of videos.

I do these kind of videos for many local clients (usually multiple times a month) and just finished two product launches with the white background/2 camera jump cut style.

We recently created full studio set tours and step-by-steps in our video membership. Here's a screenshot of my favorite style with the dull white/grey blend for one that we recently did at http://webvideomarketing.com/optimiz...-studiocyc.png

To give the short version, you get a clean white backdrop that you can find by searching:

"Hi-Key White Backdrop", "Dual Hi-Key White Backdrop", "Dull White Heavy Weave Muslin Backdrop" or you go to a professional studio or pick a similar type of white backdrop up from a local photography studio. There's a studio here in San Diego that I rent for $25/hour to do these types of shoots that have this kind of hard backdrop (or 'cyc' as it's also called).

Whatever you do, try to avoid a thin white backdrop with wrinkles. An overexposed white backdrop can make some of those small wrinkles disappear if need be, although it's better to try and avoid wrinkles as much as possible.

Besides lighting the subject, you get two lights (or four lights if you have them) that are (preferably) fluorescent or LED lighting. Examples of such can be found at flolight.com

You then put one or two lights off to each side, just outside the camera and point the lights towards the backdrop so the lighting spreads evenly on both sides as you'll see in my screenshot above.

Because you are putting lights off to the side of the backdrop, ensure the person being lit is some distance from the backdrop, otherwise some of the lighting that is suppose to be washing out the backdrop can spill over to the side of the person's face and create unwanted results such as causing the sides of the person's face to be white.

Alternatively, just move the lights closer to the backdrop and angle the lights in more which is what I recommend anyways.

There are other similar ways to do it, such as having lights above that spread evenly on to the backdrop, but I assume most reading this would be doing it somewhere in their office.

      Best,
      Scott

Why would you want to use chroma key to achieve a white background? By doing this, you are starting at green or blue just to get to white. Start with white and you eliminate having to achieve the perfect lighting needed for quality keying.

To achieve what is seen in the video above you should start with a white muslin or hard backdrop. Place three point lighting on the subject, placing him several feet in front of the backdrop. Then, light the backdrop.

      Just my opinion.

Agree. I think that's how it was done. Nothing too complex.

To create good videos, you just need decent lights and a decent HD camera.

Just use a white backdrop you can get a white paper roll backdrop from any good photographic shop.

You must have good lighting and try to use a HD camera with a tripod and clip on lapel mic.

What you need is basically a green display, some lightnings (2,3 can be enough) and a video editing software (like Sony Vegas). It can become much more expensive if you want the top stuff but you can achieve pretty good quality effect for $100-$200 investment.
