Auto Insurance CPC All Set At Last! How Can Anyone Proceed From Here?

A big hello to all the professionals in the house,

First let me express my sincere appreciation to everyone, who through their advices and recommendations, have helped me get to the level I am currently.

I have a couple of websites running at the moment with some even doing well in the search engines. However, what is the best way to market an auto insurance CPC program?

I was recently approved to run an auto insurance cost per click program in which I get up to $4 for anyone who enters his/her zip code on my website and then goes ahead to click on any of the links in the resulting list of sites that appears afterwards. The form can be found here: Vehicle Insurance Quotes

This appears okay but the biggest challenge is how best to get quality clicks/leads from the United States. Pay per click especially google adwords is not working because virtually all the relevant keywords have very high bid amounts placed on them (up to $15 per click!).

I know there are people making a lot of money from same or similar offers and I also know some of them are members of Warrior Forum.

Please help me get started! I can provide my BB pin or yahoo ID if you so desire but would appreciate if ideas can be shared freely here.

Thanking you all in anticipation.

    Hey Emmerlee,

Yeah, straight up search ppc is not going to work for this category. SEO on the short tail is also impossible since you have a lot of mega companies with mega budgets working against you.

Work on the long-tails and not so obvious keywords and try PPC on 2nd, 3rd tier networks. Contact site owners for private buys. You can also try content network if you don't mind playing by Google's terms, might have better luck there rather than search. But I avoid Google all together for insurance.

How are you currently getting traffic?

      Hi Ryan,

Thanks for your response. My car insurance site is still new so ranking it for relevant keywords on google would surely take some time. I bought some traffic on facebook and google adwords but soon realised that competing for top spot with people with huge bids for same spot is quite unrealistic.

I'm thinking of producing tens of relevant articles and submiting them to top article directories, and then placing a direct link to the site on my article signature. I'm just not too sure if this would work and wouldn't want to waste time and effort on a traffic strategy that might produce little or no result when there is a better one I can adopt. Have in mind that only United States clicks/leads are accepted for the program.

Have you tried article marketing or video marketing? you may need to optimize them and make a good amount of them, but for those markets I think is the best way to go.

@Patadeperro, I'm still considering article marketing and might try it out soon. Just don't think I'll get very US good traffic from just that.

      More advises please...

The real problem with the insurance CPA, is the low payment, it gives you very small margin of error, the way you should do article marketing is with local terms example: cheapest Wisconsin insurance, cheapest San Francisco insurance and so on and so for, because buying traffic would be a harakiri.

        Hope it helps

Great! I have just been approved by CPA network regarding to Auto/Car Insurance. I am finding the best ways to drive targeted traffic to my blog. This thread is helpful for me.

Anyway, I am thinking of trying to use Google network advertising campaign to get traffic to my site, but I am not sure how it worth the ROI!

Need more advise from all CPA experts!

    Best,
    UTOBC
