Bulk Domains for Agressive Site Builders

Hi Warriors,

I have a huge appetite for new domains and I was wondering if anyone of you knew a good company offering bulk prices (purchasing about 1,000 domains per month).

We have coupon codes with different companies but those are usually limited in time or in quantity.

Thanks for your help!

If you are doing many at one time contact a rep at one of the larger registers and buy through the rep.

When you buy in that kind of volume, you can negotiate with any registrar you choose. I personally would start with Moniker.com

    Thanks ProdigalJoe and Gene,

Actually I tried to negotiate with namecheap and here is the offer they made me:

ME: I would like to know if you had special prices for bulk domains registration (about 1,000 domains per month)

THEM: Please feel free to use our November coupon FAMILYWARMTH. It allows you to register .com and .net at $9.10 + ICANN fee($0.18) and .biz, .org and .us and transfer .biz, .org and .us domains at $8.81 and transfer .com, .net, domains at $8.28+ ICANN fee ($0.18). Once you will have 50+ or 300+ domains under your account we will provide you with another coupons.

ME: Thank you but it's not an interesting offer. I thought you could offer much better pricing for monthly bulk registration?

THEM: Our business model differs greatly from other registrars in that we do neither offset our costs by accepting advertising nor do we bombard our customers with upsells and hidden fees. Unfortunately, the lowest we could possibly go would be $8.81 per new domain registration, this is our bulk discount. That's pretty much as low as we go since we work with slim profits and this is the best we can do.

ME: Oh sad to read this. Thank you for your time

    THEM: You are very welcome.
Well $8.81 minimum is very expensive for a minimum offer. I'll try with Moniker.com - Thanks Gene for mentioning them, never heard of this company before.

  • LOL. You must be extremely hungry Vita Vee.

By the way, something that you may be interested in considering is that if you value the use of privacy protection, such as WhoIs Guard, many registrars offer that for a higher price, while NameCheap gives it for free for the first year, which is why they may be more expensive.

Also, some registrars give you a coupon that discounts the price for the first year only, and you don't notice that unless you read the small print on the website that's hard to see. Like, I know one registrar that offer $6 for the first year, but it goes up to $12 for every year after that. They don't say so explicitly though, and it's in very tiny words, or on a different page. So that might be something that you want to be careful about.

But funny, Namecheap was offering $6 domains just the other month....

The fees that vitavee were quoted seem rather high to me. I'm pretty sure that I've seen coupon codes for namecheap at lower rates than that in the past.

Interesting! It seems they don't have any live chat application on their site so I'll have to call them.

        Thanks for the info.

        Hey Infinity

Thanks for mentioning this, I'll be careful about the rebilling price and will take the cost of the privacy protection into account.

That's also what I think, I know from someone else that they have a better coupon available right now, much better than the one he told me about.

Ok so I'm going to call godaddy right now and see if they have good prices for 1,000 domains / month.

After that I will check moniker.com as suggested by Gene.

If you have any other plan please do let me know.
