Flipping sites - how many articles?

For those of you in the business of creating and flipping sites (made for adsense), what's the minimum number of articles that you included.

I know the more you have the higher price you'd get (basically)...but is there a minimum you can get away with and still make a sale?

The amount of content actually doesn't matter so much - it's the traffic and earnings that really count. I've seen alot of Adsense sites sold with no more than 10-15 articles that still got a good price based on how much they were earning. Of course the amount of content could well be directly related to how much the site earns (the more keywords you're targetting the more traffic you should get), in which case the more the better. Personally I would never go with less than 10 articles.

I have sold sites in the past with just 5 articles on there - but I made sure that other factors were really nice like the design etc. I used to sell a lot of these sites with many happy customers, though you'll find the competition is stiffer on sites like Flippa now so you'll have to find ways to stand out. The best advice I have is to actually go there and see what's selling now - then you'll get your best answers about what other sellers are doing and how you can go the extra mile to make your sale.

I used to always do 10 ... not sure what the market is like over there now though.

Of course, if the site is earning it really doesn't matter how many articles or even if you have any, I don't think.

Out of curiosity, does the earnings for a site have to be from adsense to be a profitable flip?? Example, made from scratch site, 50 unique articles, average 200-500 unique visitors a day and selling an ebook or report. I would assume that any "earnings" would qualify the site but am just curious if any of you have sold a ready to go site with a product already in place. And if so what is the norm for profit? 3x, 10x profitability? How does one decide without shooting the foot off?
