Flipping Websites Is Easy?

Hey im new at the whole idea of flipping websites, but I have around 5 or 6 .info sites I am not currently using but willing to build them, SEO optimize them, get a few top rankings on google to bring in around 300 visitors daily, and sell them.

I wanted to know if anyone can give me tips on making more from this profession that would be free to do as well.

Thanks for the help warriors!

Firstly, .info domains aren't very saleable, so I'd advise you to forget about selling them, and start building up a couple of .com sites now. Chance are very high you'll have an extremely tough time selling them, unless of course you can show solid income proof from those sites.

Actually I was viewing a few .info sites on flippa and saw quite a few with only a description of potential income and each of them averaged around $50 but Im only trying to get rid of them to get some .com domains

Well, I'd hang on to the sites and develop them further if you aren't making any income yet. If they sell at $50 on Flippa, you're barely making any money when you take into account the $19 listing fee, the 5% success fee and any additional fees like the Featured listing, etc. fees. At $50, you're barely breaking even.

I flip websites all day but i dont do it on Flippa and I make much more than a few hundred dollars, actually I sell them for $25K to $40K, you just have to know how to sell an idea and provide services after the sale to make the transaction go through. As for where i sell them, well thats a trade secret lol Sorry

        Hey BHunter,
Sorry, didnt mean to brag... well maybe a little but sure I would love to give you guys some tips.

        1. Stay away from Affiliate offers or info based websites - There are so many of these for sale and they really offer the same thing on Flippa that everyone else offers. I stick with product based sites. I go on Global sources and find unique products that fit into a nice niche that i can own pretty easily.
        2. Once you find the product build a nice site with SEO - This is self explanitory
        3. Once you have the site up build TONS of Backlinks to it - Real quick, You need Highly Relevant, PR Rated backlinks that include relevant anchor text in the URL going back to your website. Go for Social bookmarking links, Sig LInks, Blog and Forum Commenting, and Relevant Links on other websites that will boost your Relevancy in the eyes of Google. This will help drive lots of valuable traffic and create a ton of backlinks. Its possible to show up in the serps the day youre URL gets indexed.
        4. Make sure you offer continuing SEO and Marketing services to youre new clients... This is great for helping you make the sale but also allows you to pick up a new marketing or SEO client.
        5. Use an Off-Shore company to create youre backlinks for you as they are much cheaper and produce massive amounts of Manual Links on Relevant PR rated sites. If you dont know of any PM me and ill let you know about some that are the best.

Thats all i have right now for you. Hope it helps.

Thanks for the advice, so let me get this straight, create or find a product having to do with the website's concept and sell the idea as well as the product? sounds easy enough as I currently have experience creating ebooks.

As a matter of fact I suppose that would give me an advantage to find a hungry niche, research and write an ebook and sell both as a package easily on flippa. People reading this what do you think of this idea?

Good. So what I hear you saying is that every website that you make is invaluable to someone or the other, as long as they get the idea of how to make it big with their business and their website.

Kind of, we sell websites that arent even up, not even started, we come up with a good idea or great product line and then get an investor to fund the site build and marketing. The important thing to do is sell yourself and then it wont matter what the website is or if its even up. We have raised over 350K for a website that we are still working on and we got the capital based off a well done prospectus that we created for the project. The URL is in my SIG.

Hi Thoma, a good read, thanks for sharing.

Quick question, once you have setup a site with a great product, maybe even info product, and fully automated it ... would you on the long run not make more money with it rather than selling?

How successful have you been at doing this and how many sites have you gotten to 300 a day. I just got one site (out of 25) to 500 + a day visitors after 2 years of work.

Are you doing this as a business?

Hi well I have currently never attempted to sell a website before, but my main site has brought in over 200 unique visitors daily as I have close to mastered 6 different forms of marketing and have combined them all along with hard work to get them at that point, which has only taken 2 months of work. Don't think this was easy and my goal in reality is to get this to 2,000 hits daily by the end of the month but I wouldnt dare sell that site since it will host my products coming soon.

I also intend on writing 1,000 quality articles as well for my main site and around 100 for my other sites throughout the next 3 weeks so I will be tied up a bit, but Im dedicated to meeting my goals so I will have it done.

SEO is easy for me so I can easily accomplish more by dominating more google top rankings, which I plan to do 30 per site.

This is no easy tasks. It's a very profitable business. However if you are planning on gambling your time and money, just be sure you can afford it as this niche of flipping websites has a lot of major players involved. Hope this helps.

The thing to know is that there are many models for flipping websites. A lot of people put all their effort into making small sites that might flip in the hundreds. But if you are creative there are ways to make a lot more money from a site for the same amount of effort. I made my first $10K flip this year and have 3 more cooking up.

Site flipping works and will always work from my point of view; it's just a matter of adapting to the market.

Now it seems to be a proper time for Autoblogs or "ready for ClickBank" products.

However, the profit margin has decreased lately for both of these - since more and more people join this and cut the price. Also, the Flippa listing costs $19 with zero upgrades. Add the domain name to that and the cost of an automated blogging software with resell license and you'll see it's not like it used to be.

But there is a good side of this - the sold sites tend to be quality sites - so the end user is satisfied. Also, people who don't sell crap definitely have an advantage.

I may conclude that as with everything in IM and LIFE - CONTENT IS KING.
