Andy Bourland Health Update

Hello Warriors,

I had noticed that fellow warrior and all-around nice guy Any Bourland hasn't been around the WF for a long time. Well Andy's updated his blog and I was shocked to find out that he's been very ill. I just figured he was busy with his next project. But in true Andy style he's not letting it get him down!

You can read what's going on from his own words via his blog:

Andy’s Health Update - Bourland.com

It's a very inspirational post. Please leave Andy a comment so he can feel some warrior love!

Andy's a heckuva guy. We met in Philly last summer and worked together briefly on a project.

Prayers to you and your family, AB!

I've known Andy for a good long while, and I knew of him from those old Clickz days.

He's a true online pioneer. More importantly, he's a really good guy who treats people extraordinarily well.

This is truly bad news, and it really saddens me. That said, Andy's post shows just how gracious he truly is.

Please go read the post AND the comments from so many people across a wide range of our industry - you will see that he's really touched a lot of people.

I don't know Andy personally, but I am most definitely in tears now.

As I said in my comments there, my grandmother always said to me, "Where
      there is life...there is hope."

I'll be praying for Andy tonight.

I just wish I had gotten to know him.

Andy's wife just updated the blog with a beautiful (and heart-wrenching) message that everyone should read.

    Bourland.com - Treasuring Each Day . . .

I can't imagine the pain of watching someone you love slowly slip away from you. But Jeanne does a nice job of giving us a wonderful glimpse into their last 7 years together. Our prayers are with you, ma'am.

This is a very sad story. I am praying for him and his family. I'm praying for strength for his family.

I did not know him or did not follow him, but it looks like he is a very good marketer and man.

The letter from Andy brought admiration for his courage, his optimism and for his ability to find peace and acceptance. I remember him as an original and one of the good guys .

The letter from Jeanne tore my heart.

Dear April: I don't want any trouble from you.
January was long, February was iffy, March was a freaking dumpster fire.
So sit down, be quiet, and don't touch anything.

In a business full of charlatans and frauds... a person like Andy Bourland a rare find.

I remember Andy calling me up one day in early 2008 for an interview about something or other, I don't really remember what, now...

And that's ironic because I DO remember quite VIVIDLY the entire rest of that conversation and what a great time I had yacking with Andy about the insanity and inanity of this crazy mixed up soup we call Internet Marketing... and the many different characters and types of people that it's comprised of.

I'd trade a dozen IM gurus for one Andy Bourland any day of the week. You'd be hard pressed to find a kinder person or a more sincere marketer.

It's sad knowing that his energy is shifting and we won't be able to see or talk to him anymore. But what an amazingly good soul his is...

Life well lived, Andy. Life well lived.

Stories like this make you realize how unfair life can be sometimes. Of all
people to have to go through this. This is the kind of stuff that makes me
very angry especially when I see all the evil in this world that goes
      unchecked.

I'm still not giving up on that miracle though.

      Not by a long shot.
