Hi guys,

Never used Flippa before to sell sites, what's the safest way to transact on there?

It's not really Flippa you should worry about, it's how the transaction is handled after the sale.

I always use Escrow.com, and have had no problems.
Make sure the Escrow transaction for the domain name is complete before transferring any files over to the buyer.

I have done 2 transactions via Flippa and both times just used PayPal. People are more honest than you think. Look at the trust score of users.

There are some scam artists there too, but very few from my experience. They deal with them very well.

I also use PayPal and haven't had any incidents. But Flippa also provides the ability to use escrow.com

The dollar amount should determine when to use Paypal/Escrow. If you are selling with a price tag of $10,000.00, I would only use Escrow.

I'd go with Escrow at a level well below $10,000. $500 or more and I use Escrow. You are guaranteed payment, the other party cannot issue a chargeback, etc... No worries.

Yes, I should have elaborated on that. I was just trying to get the point across.

Like anywhere, there are scammers on Flippa. Thankfully I've never had any problems and have sold quite a few sites there. I only ever used PayPal but if you're selling into the thousands I would definitely use Escrow.

I wish there was a Flippa for adult domains.
