Clickbank Income Drought

Are you squidoo pages still getting traffic? I guess the question is whether this issue is a traffic problem or a conversion problem.

For one Squidoo is dying in my opinion you may want to seriously think about joining Hubpages for 1. Two like previously mentioned have you checked your analytics? Is your traffic down for some reason?

And last but not least you may want to try promoting some new products. Maybe these particular products that you are promoting have lost their appeal.

I would start a mailing list if possible if I was you if you have not already done so. Sign up to hubpages, and start your own self hosted Wordpress blog that way you own all your content not someone else.

But take 1 thing at a time so you do not overwhelm yourself. Good luck Ken!

Also keep in mind that all businesses will go through cycles depending on the time of year it is.

Things like international holidays will affect your business, and the general financial state of various parts of the world.

I'm not saying that this is your problem, but do keep in mind that there are natural fluctuations, especially when you're looking at international business.

I am a full time CB'er...
I can tell you that all CB products have a shelf life.
IF you're pushing the same product for long periods of time, they will fall off the cliff eventually.
Or maybe your niche is out of favor.

Be very diverse.

And dont only rely on Squidoo... or any one delivery method.

Maybe squidoo is cracking down.. or google is cracking down on squidoo.
Google HATES clickbank products.

Its so hard to tell based on this limited info, it depends on your products, and your niches - some things are seasonal, and as also suggested, some product lifecycles just don't last forever.

If you are really focused in just one niche or with one a few select products then it might be time to branch out a bit...

However, in the longer term, if you only use squidoo and other web2.0 sites then fair play, you know the basics, but next, and longer term I think you should start setting up your own sites, as it could be that your pages have just been devauled within squidoo or been moved behind the scenes because of their internal changes etc. Make your own sites and you will always have more control..

but more importantly if you have been selling for a year and now all your sales have dried up then now you are back to square 1. If instead you had developed a list during this time from your traffic then you would still have a business now... do this now, build a list so that you can market to them over and over and so you don't end up stranded if your traffic dries up, if you have bad luck etc.

A couple of my niches that normally generate regular sales fell off a cliff in August, came back, then fell off a cliff again about 3 weeks ago, then started hitting again last week.

Traffic and hops declined only a little bit, nothing else changed, so I'm guessing the economy and normal cycles in the niches.

I track clickbank sales pretty carefully (obviously ) and I have seen nothing else to explain it.

The main problem many are having when it comes to making sales through clickbank. Is simply that the product may not be in the buyers market at the time. If you are only focusing on one product and or one niche. You will be likely to get down months where there are simply no buyers in that market.

Which would in turn force you to either wait it out or start looking for another market. This is one of the reasons why you should not solely rely on clickbank. For the markets can go from extreamly hot the dead in a matter of days.

First thing you should coinsider is looking at your traffic stats to your lenses. If the traffic has not really slowed down to entirely much then it is likely the buyers are still there just not willing to spend the money on the type of product you are promoting.

There for if that is in fact the case you need to find a product that is going to go good with the current market. Keep in mind buyers are going to drop this time of year for info products. So try and find something that can be utilized for the xmas market. Maybe its something like how to find that perfect gift. These types of products on clickbank I assure you are hitting highs right now.

I have my own hedge against the down markets for I generate sales through clickbank or amazon and also have adsense on every site I own and run. This helps keep me in the green for the months that the sales simply do not come from when the market turns cold.

Also keep in mind clickbank is making alot of changes at the moment so sales may not be registering correctly and may need a few days to show up on your account.

Test out CPA offers. At the end of the day what you want to see is money coming in to your account. CPA networks have good payout per lead and this could be your solution if CB is not working for you anymore!
