Clickbank is down, over capacity --- arrhh

Yeah, the .com and API are down but it still looks like the payment processing at Clickbank.net is working, so I'd assume you shouldn't lose sales. We'll be able to tell once the main site comes back.

Thanks

You need to fully read what they stated about the maintenance.

We are making a few upgrades to Digital Products Retailer: Affiliate Program & Sell Online - ClickBank beginning Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 5:00pm PST and concluding at 1:00am PST on Thursday, November 4, 2010. This outage will NOT affect HopLinks, order processing or Instant Notification Service.
The details are as follows:

5:00pm PST: Website, Master Accounts, Help Center, Blog, Experts Forum, Featured Marketplace, Ad System, Client Analytics and Sandbox will be unavailable.
6:00pm PST: Website and Master Accounts will be online and available. Help Center, Blog, Experts Forum, Featured Marketplace, Ad System, Client Analytics and Sandbox will remain unavailable until 1:00am PST.
12:00am PST: Website and Master Accounts will be offline and unavailable.
1:00am PST: All applications will be online and available.

Thank you for your understanding and we apologize for any inconvenience.
Sincerely,
The ClickBank Team

Now there is nothing that says you are going to be losing sales over this upgrade and maintenance session.

Thanks

Are those times correct? If so the maintenance shouldn't start for 2 more hours. Regardless the sales are coming in now.

I would if they gave notice of it, i dont see it anywhere visible on their site or any email stating they were doing maintenance. either way, they're back up now.

Hmmm...stats are back up, but apparently we made zero dollars in the eight hours or so of Clickbank maintenance.

Normally we would have had at least $500 in sales, plus another $300 or so in rebills in that time. It could have just been a very quiet eight hours...but that would be extremely unusual. Anyone else have any issues with this?

Thanks

If it's cost you that much, perhaps you should take it up with Clickbank direct...

Check ClickBank System Status

The API system is still not working as well. It's showing yellow for me. The stats will update whenever that comes back online. Why they're doing this mid-week though boggles my mind.

...ah! Now it looks as though the stats have been updated. Yesterday's total has increased by a few hundred dollars, and today's figures are on target, so it looks like there was just a lag in getting all the stats up to date.

Hey Clickbank, please don't do that again...I might just have a heart attack

These things make me wonder - what are we all going to do if CB is no more? I just about crap myself when it goes down for a while. I finally started to relax but it is still unnerving.

Or Ezine, for that matter? Tons of people got the boot from there not too long ago. I guess this is what happens when we depend on others. That would be dang good incentive to go for it and build a list and make a product, huh?

I know - diversify - but....I honestly don't think much can compare to CB, except maybe for CPA's. good ol' uncle sam already has his big toe in the water........

Just my 2 cents....

I don't worry about those things I can't possibly change. And such things I can't change include change. If they are no more, we will still move on and be fine.

same here. zero sales in the last 8 hours where I usually make sales everyday.

Well, it is up and running now but I noticed the Analysis section is not yet accessible - it's returning with an error. May be they are still working on it.

I don't think I lost any sales because I did follow one my hoplinks a couple of times when the site was down and both the times I was forwarded to the Clickbank order page without any problem. A customer should normally be able to complete the payment process once he or she is on the order page.

I'm an affiliate. I saw a sale come through on the google analytics side last night during the outage, and this morning could see it listed under transactions after clickbank came back up. Still can't get into clickbank analytics, though. -- P.

From what I'm reading, it sounds like it's just your account dashboard features that are not working. It has nothing to do with what's going on with sales coming in. They just can't show them in your dashboard yet because it's still under maintenance.

The first time I saw this maintenance message several years ago I freaked, too, but soon discovered that it had no effect on the actual sales.

I tried going in via IP address instead of the name clickbank.com, and I get exactly the same results. I'd say that means it's not a local cache issue. Everything is working for me except the analytics page.
