What is the best CMS for supporting video content?

I've done a few searches and wanted to get some answers from the best and brightest... so here I am

I'm trying to decide on a content management system that is very video friendly. Videos will be categorized and transcribed.

Videos will be hosted on a YouTube channel.

I would imagine Wordpress with the right plugins could do it. Is it the most efficient speed and SEO wise though? What are the best video based plugins?

Does anyone have experience with MediaCore? It sounds like it might work but I haven't heard anything about it until today. http:slashslashgetmediacore.com/features#core-features

At first myself and partners will be producing and sharing the videos but eventually we would like users to be able to submit videos as well.

ClipShare is another option but I'm not sure how SEO friendly it is. Perhaps there is a Wordpress plugin that does what this software does?

Any input would be appreciated. Thank you kindly!

PHP Melody looks alright too. Anyone have any experience with these CMSs?

Wordpress is perfect. With all the templates, plugins and constant development going on, you can't go wrong.

Wordpress is ideal. And you don't need a plugin for youtube clips. Simply copy and paste the embed code in the post you're writing (the html part of the post). Wordpress has SEO plugins that work very well.

Seems as if WP is hard to beat. If I use the right theme and plugins it does look like a great option.

It is Mitchell. I used to do sites in Frontpage, then Dreamweaver but really today, you can't beat Wordpress. The purchase of your own domain and webhosting is quite low these days and many web hosts provide the one click install through Fantastico on their hosting services for Wordpress so no difficult instructions to follow at all. But if you need help, just sing out. I love playing with Wordpress!

I enjoy WP too... but wasn't sure if it was the best CMS option for a site based around videos more than a niche blog.

Seems as if it might be though...lol. I found quite a few options. Most are expensive YouTube clones and that's really not what I'm after.
