Black Friday...How can a new Internet Marketer Make Money With it?

We all know that Black Friday is the biggest brick and mortar sales day of the year.
My question is, does that event have any benefits for an Internet marketer?

Someone was telling me that November and December are the worst months to try and sell information products etc...

Is that true?

I have had a little web development company on the side for years and worked a full time job.

Now, my full time job is ending 1/1/11 and I need to make some CASH fast.

How can I join forces with some people here and figure out how to leverage the Black Friday event and make some money to support my family?

The only thing I think I have going for me is the fact that I program in asp.net and php etc...

Any ideas are appreciated.

Victor

    Hello Victor,

It is true that November and December are the toughest months to try and sell anything - unless it's a Christmas gift.

For an Internet Marketer, you have to be creative at all times. What you need to consider is what niche you want to get into, and how you can distinguish yourself from everyone else. Once you have that, you have to get subscribers to your list - have some kind of offer or giveaway to entice them into your list, and make sure it is something useful, that will make the recipient look forward to your next offering.

You really need to master some of the fundamentals of Internet Marketing to make some change. Shoot me a PM and I can share some knowledge about this.

    Cheers,

      Hi Brian,
      Thanks for the guidance.
Are you talking about using the same concepts to sell Christmas related products?

When I say a niche, I mean picking an area that you could successfully pull off a Black Friday kind of special. But in order to pull that off successfully, you need to have a good list of folks are receptive and open to your offers and emails. It's relationship marketing.

I honestly feel Black Friday is a tough day to market online, since most folks hit the streets to the brick n mortar stores. So, you really have to stand out and make yourself noticeable. The same motto holds true for Internet Marketing, but IMHO, it's a much taller task on a day like Black Friday.

        Cheers,
        Brian

          I could believe that.

Um, adwords campaign is their only hope - and even that requires some knowledge and savvy.

If you are new and thinking you are going to rake it in for black Friday you are far from prepared for the event IMO.

Even "Cyber Monday" will be a stretch for you.

Massive creativity might figure something out with use of social networking and places like ebay or amazon - but again, not something most new people will figure out in time.

Just do what any business does on Black Friday. Cut your prices dramatically for one day. Big sales increase.

Problems are opportunities for entrepreneurial minds. I guess so?

Then again, people are most likely not willing to buy things on a depressed day.

Ok, I really don't mean to impose, but here is the idea about how I made money with it last year.

Lots of people go buy stuff at these stores right? Well, guess what they get when they buy? - A receipt. And on that receipt there is information about taking a survey.

That is the gateway for easy freaking money.

Mods can remove this if they think I'm stepping over the line, but I actually just released a free guide because I made money with this method last year for black friday (and before black friday too).

It's completely relevant and you might still have time to make money.

You have a little over a week to implement this. Paid search is the way to go with such a limited window of opportunity. I doubt that a site could hit page one in a week, but you never really know until you try.

Here is my guide - hope it helps - Steal My Method (thats what the title of my guide is heh)...
