Selling a Dating Website

Hi guys,

I have a dating website that is doing about 300-500/m but I was toying with the idea of selling it. It is a product on Clickbank and the traffic is generated some some affiliates.

I would like to know what does these kinda products usually go for and how do you valuate it because I see alot of sites being sold that are adsense, blogs, affiliate revenues etc.

Also, is there any website broker that I can consider using for low revenue sites? (There are some brokers I see that require a huge amount of revenue first)

Thanks for your help!

This site is making $300/$400 monthly, passively? Why sell? Unless you're strapped for cash I think that's a bad idea. If anything I'd tweek the site to see if I could get it to make more money.

    Just my two cents...

    Hi ladida,

Yup passively without spending any money. I really like my site and I have put in alot of work so if I could I would want to grow it.

However you hit the nail on its head. I am strapped for cash and looking for alternatives where possible.

Well, there are a number of factors that would affect the overall pricing. If you put it up for auction, I'd say in the current climate you could expect a maximum of 12x monthly earning.

That said, you'd need a decent earnings history, potential to increase to income, and some solid SEO, backlinking, and PR.

A lot of sites with less than a years earning history seem to be going for around 3-6 x monthly profit

Thanks for the PMs and the advice Dave.

Do website brokers deal with such small sites like this? Or do they only go for those 6 figure ones.

Yup I have spent a fair bit in the sale copy and I have opted for the clean look instead of all those flashy pages.

Tell me what you guys think.

Have you found a buyer yet? You should look for something in the 5x-7x monthly revenue rate. Flippa will be good for you!
