$1,000+ per day - Just by wearing a T-Shirt! An incredible success story!

I had seen this site in the past, but came across it again today.
What an incredible success story!

Home | I Wear Your Shirt

Basically the guy (Jason Sadler - and now he has a few others who also wear your shirt), will wear your shirt advertising your company for 1-day.

The price starts at $5 on Jan 1st, and increases by $5 each day. So Jan 2nd is $10, the 3rd is $15, and so on.

2010 is already sold out, and 2011 is sold into June! July is the month
that he hits the $1,000 per day mark. And the entire months of both November and December are all $1,500+ per day!

He does also throw in some twitter and facebook, and youtube posts, but those are given as "extras". It all started with just him and a t-shirt!

This is pretty old and he didn't even come up with it. There is a girl who he got the idea from I believe.

I dunno, acute stories of people creating wealth through randomness do nothing for me.

It's like telling me some guy won the powerball lol

I'm more impressed by somebody who worked his tail off and built his adsense sites to a 1k/day empire. Now that's impressive and inspirational because it can be repeated.

I think it's impressive, and I don't think it's due to randomness. Yes, there was some luck involved, but you can say the same for a lot of businesses.

It's nothing like the powerball, there is a lot of marketing and thought that goes into what Jason Sadler has created.

And as to a girl coming up with the idea first... well, I don't care who came up with it first, this guy took action and made it work, that's all that matters to me.

I guess I am different than you, I like hearing how other people think outside the box and figure out a way to make money that others don't. What I find kind of funny is the fact that you don't like his idea because it can't be repeated, yet you also complain that he didn't even get the idea himself, that he got the idea from a girl that was already doing it. Seems like he's doing what you say can't be done.

Sure some of these types of ideas are one hit wonders, but it can help you get ideas for other things that might work or help with your marketing when you analize why they worked so well.

        Yes!
It's definitely good to check out these 'random' hits...

I bet you, ANYONE, could do the same with a van or some such vehicle.

Give them a gps feed and a pic of an ad placed on the ride.

We know there are established businesses that do this.
        Why not one person?

I still find it astonishing that so many internet marketers (newbies especially) feel that they need to be unique and different in order to succeed at internet marketing. This is not a prerequisite, and you shouldn't overcomplicate things - why reinvent the wheel when it works well for so many? Of course you can tweak and adjust things, but there is no need to be radically different and unique in order to succeed, especially in internet marketing.

You could advertise your own sites, on the front advertise your first money site and on the back your second money site.

The transfer paper they sell at the computer shop to make the transfers in a inkject printer, then iron on is just perfect.

You could get young schoolkids of an evening and weekend to wear t-shirts all weekend for you for a very low amount of 'pocket money'!

It's like the million dollar homepage. Works
the first time but never again.

Which is ok, it's a cool idea.

It's definitely a great idea for a viral campaign, and though he may be booked up till the middle of next year, I feel a lot of his future success is going to be derived from how successful he really is in creating a buzz for his clients, especially the higher priced ones.

Yes, there were a number of girls who did this by actually writing the message across their boobs. This was years and years ago.

I agree with the above poster. In the time it will take you to come up with an out of the box idea like this, that actually works, you could have setup a reliable income stream that will support you for many years to come.

This concept is older than the hills. It goes right back to the days of the sandwich boards - when people were hired to stroll up and down the sidewalk as walking ads. That's like, late 1800s.

Many, many years ago this t-shirt idea became popular. That's why many items of clothing contain ads today.

The only difference between random people walking around showing off your ad/brand and this guy is price. Get it free with just the cost of producing and distributing your own products to the general public. Or hire this guy.

I wonder if you get to tell him where to go?

No, no. I mean can you give him a specific route? Does he just go wherever he pleases?

More importantly, is he the only one doing it or does he have a huge team to help? That would certainly cut into his profits. I'd imagine he can only walk so far in a day. The more advertisers he gets, the less coverage you'd get if that were the case.

And how do you monitor the results? How do you determine which sales are coming from the billboard and which are coming from your own and other marketing?

Well, I guess if he's making money at least he's not on the street... so to speak.
