What Is Your Take On Solo Ads?

Hey guys I was thinking of buying a few solo ads in the IM niche and wanted to know if they worth the money and are effective...

I also wanted to know is it best to offer a freebie to get them and then something on the backend or run a low ticket offer?

thanks in advance

-Chris

    There's no general answer.

Depends on the site. Each has a somewhat different audience, different design and ad placement and different cost. Ask if you can run a test, before you drop real $$. If we ARE talking real $$ and not just fifty bucks, most webmasters will let you run a test. May have to pay for it, but still better than jumping in blind.

    Hey Chris
I think that they are very effect however if it where me i would give the freebie and think out my sale funnel and have a good follow up series set in place before I spent any money because i would most likely want to make that money i spent back weather it was lead or sales or both. but I would do the freebie to get them on and then a low $7-$17 related around the 4 th follow up after i gave a xxxx load of value first related.
    There's my 2 cents
    Cheers

I recently bought a solo ads and i am very happy about the results. I grew my list by almost 200 in a one weekend. Will be doing one more at the end of nov.

The key here is conversion. You want to make sure those that click on the ad get converted into your list. So make sure two things happen:

    - You are giving them a gift that they want
    - Your copy in the email must be compelling, otherwise you will lose clicks.

Try out some solo ads and see if it works. Good luck!

    Chris,

I have had great success and great failures with SOLO ads. Solo ads were one of the first paid traffic strategies I started to use when I was new to internet marketing.

My failures came as a result of me not understanding the "irresistible offers", and me not having a back end set up. Anytime your paying for traffic you need to know the life time value of that customer.

Once I got my marketing funnel set up correctly, they worked better.

For Solo's go FREE IRRESISTIBLE OFFER---> Low ticket immediate OTO, Upsale(if you have full control of the funnel) and obviously email affiliate offers on the backend.

Also I have found that shorter Solo ads work better than longer. Do not try to sell them in the email on the product. Just get them to click over to your FREE offer.

Solo ads targeted at the Internet marketing audience is still effective when done properly. The results might not be as good in other genre's. Make sure you buy solo ads at well respected ezines.

Yes offer a freebie and then something on the backend (an oto that converts and that you get credit for upsells or downsells) is the best option...you grow your list and get some money back with otos...

moreover, those subscribers might make you money for months to come if you build a good relationship with them...also be careful where you buy the solo ad make sure that the seller provides you plenty of references first...you don't want to pay for junk traffic..so make sure to track the clicks he sends you...

Use the forum here to find solo ad partners in the JV section. I had great success with a couple. You can see who has best reviews and big lists. Will cost you some money, but worth it IMO.
I agree with others, free offer, but then upsell to a oto. Also, interact with people who opt-in. I like having a second auto-response email with a " I saw you just joined/bought and am here to help you anyway I can. Just reply if you need anything" I have all my lists to my black berry so I just make sure to respond right away. Maybe one day I will be a huge guru, but for us little folks we have to outwork them...
