The WORST traffic advice ever!

I was just wondering, what do you consider the 3 least effective "get traffic" techniques/advice - and why?

ARTICLE MARKETING DOES NOT WORK: not worth it for the direct traffic, questionable link value

ARTICLE MARKETING WORKS: "Article marketing does not work" - if you believe that you have learned the technique from the wrong person.

AUTOPILOT TRAFFIC: Oh and last but not least - any offer with "$26,000 in 2 weeks on autotraffic - buy my tricks now only $12 for the first x people, then it's $19 don't wait".

AUTOSURFS - are THE worst
- The only people on autosurfs are the people that want to advertise, not buy. ... the majority of users want to advertise and not buy.

BUILD IT AND THEY WILL COME: If you build it they will come (not in this world sorry, that's about 10% of the equation, ok 20%)

BUYING BACKLINKS - Backlink/social bookmark buyouts at xx,xxx backlinks over x weeks/months. < Usually works against you/gets you slapped silly.

BUYING E-MAIL LISTS: Buy 148,925 REAL human visitors for $9. PM me. < Doubt I need to explain the 'why' on this one.

DIGG - Get on the front page of digg". Yep, its great *if* you do, and the effort and the content most people produce will mean its wasted effort and never happens.

FFA PROGRAMS: No reason given

LOOPHOLES - Any traffic course with the words underground/secret/loophole, if it's underground/secret, it won't be for long, and it's a loophole, it's going to get fixed straight away.

MEDIA BUYS, LOW TIER - Low tier media buys re adware/foreign sites/PPV to cps... Rarely/never converts in our world.

PPC DIRECTORIES - Pay per click directories..........waste of time and money!

SOCIAL BOOKMARKING - Social bookmarking: big social bookmarking sites controlled by voting syndicates You can still get by using some social engineering - building content that plays on the community biases - but it's a lot of work for little return.

SPINNING ARTICLES - Seeding/spinning crappy articles and submitting to xx sites daily. < Daunting waste of time and possibly the worst footprint to leave behind, spun spam.

SPAMMING - Noobs trying senuke/other sensitive spamming software (errrr sorry 'automation'. . .. .) only to find it backfires like a mofo quick because they don't understand what they don't know yet.

TRAFFIC EXCHANGES - Traffic Exchanges yield the least targeted traffic possible unless you are marketing to people who think traffic exchanges work
