If you remember I asked about how much traffic one can expect from Yahoo Answers. I also asked for opinions from others because I wanted to dedicate some time actually answering questions and building up a nice contributor status.

Anyway, less than 24 hours later I have a level 2 account. I woke up this morning and I had a lot of best answers picked.

Some would think that I've spammed a lot to get a level 2 account so fast but I honestly answered 25 questions, then when I woke up done another 15 and voted for best answers for others. All genuine answers.

Can I expect my account to be banned?

I've heard others say only answer x amount of questions a day.

The trick is to not just post the URL to your main page but also post relevant nested links within your site. Also don't post your link in the answer box, put it in the "source" box. You will get banned quickly if you don't do that. Also make sure you answer some questions WITHOUT a link in them. Just so YA thinks you're trying to be helpful and not be spammy.

And to answer your question, I use up all 40 of my answers when I do it and have never had a problem.

I've seen some people make a consistent income from Yahoo, some $500 a month for very little work. It see it as the same as writing articles.

I do make a lot of money with YA, mainly as a Facebook Developer and income from my applications and viral marketing.

It's nice to keep fingers in other sources though because when one thing fails another thing is still burning.

      Thanks for the reply.

Helpful answers are usually received well by this community. So give contributive answers rather than "you know I found this to be discussed in that site: link". Make sensible contribution and use the resource box - that will help you enough.

Still say there's much better and more lucrative ways to monetize your time, and in time you may or may not see this as being a lower form of marketing, as is article writing even though some make good money at it. Great writers evolve, I hope you do, if it's keeping the lights on for you then more power to you for now *Facebook developer = that's what I would focus on/motor with vs. any of this stuff.
Oh I do agree. The Facebook stuff is great especially when I have a host of other applications to promote the new ideas. Traffic is so fast and instant too and there is a fortune to be made even from the use of banner ads on simple applications.
