paypal reporting issues anyone?

for the last two days or so, paypal has been hit and miss with emailing me about payments received. this goes for services i sell here on the forum, as well as the shopping cart payments on my site. at first i thought it was something with my site but then i started getting emails a day later from warriors asking me what the deal was with their order lol.

anyone else having these same issues? i wrote paypal to inform them of the problem, looks like they may have updated a few things recently from the looks of it, but of course i have not heard back. as a result i went to manual entry on my warrior threads and look very carefully every day on my site, but on my site i give my personal email paypal address and people have been good about emailing me when they place an order.

just wondering i guess. thanks for reading.

    PayPal's "instance" payment notifications (IPN) frequently go through issues like this. The message is guaranteed to show up, they just won't guarantee when.

    I'm currently in the process of moving everything I do away from relying on IPN and using the guaranteed systems which PayPal provide. Unfortunately not many off the shelf software supports that kind of thing.

    thank you very much for your feedback. actually i just looked and i have a payment from three days ago that i never noticed lol. i guess i should be happy i got money to the account, but it kinda upsets people when they pay money and you don't respond within a few days. i will look into these guaranteed options. thanks for the advice. just never had this issue before.

      IPNs work fine for several months at a time and then will screw up for a couple of days. Those periods can be very stressful.

    yeah this is a first for me. it's kinda a pain when you find out days later that someone ordered and you never responsed. i'm sure it sets a bad impression accross the board. it's why i applogized all over my self to warriors and clients to let them know of the issue. hopefully there's a way i can get around it now besides checking my paypal every few hours.
