Anyone Actually Use BuddyPress?

INTERNET MARKETING

I've been reading a little bit about BuddyPress, but does anyone here actually use this plugin? Is it easy to use? And does it seem to attract a lot of spammers? A long time ago, I used to maintain a forum which started up great...but boy, was it a headache warding off spammers!

I've looked at it for 2 projects and never went through with it.

I think it is perfect if you need a social network, but the problem is the users don't really know exactly how to use all the features on it.

PPC-Coach,

That's certainly something to think about. One should include an FAQ section about using the features or provide a clear step-by-step instructions on their site. Otherwise, you'd probably have to answer tons of emails from confused users.

Oh, forgot to ask...from what I understand, I would have to change my WP theme for compatible ones to buddypress or not?

I have activated Buddypress, but can't figure out how to actually install it. Maybe my wp theme isn't compatible?
