Page Looks Different In Different Browsers?

I have come across a very annoying problem that my pages can look different depending on what browsers i use.

I have tried to optamise them for firefox, but this off course will still not stop the occasional complaints or comments about things moving place.

One example is here where the opt in boxes can move depending on what browser you use, also the videos on my product page move sometimes depending on the browser i use.

I was wondering if any kind warriors would be able to lend a hand to check my pages through and give me a pointer, i am not a scripter, i just put the pages together by learning whilst doing. ( you will also get a review copy of my product if you want to take a little time to check the video page )

Thank you for your time

Might be because browsers interpret style sheets differently...

Here's a tutorial about how to solve the problem:

Most of the time, if the page is coded properly, it will look the same across browsers. There's also a difference between Mac and pc browsers so better to check those as well. If the problem is exclusive to Internet explorer then it can easily be solved by using ie specific stylesheets. You can pm me the site, I could take a look for you but it might have to wait until tomorrow.

    Hi Connor,

The main issue with this type of problem is in the way browsers view images.

To be honest you may always find this to some extent but you can avoid most problems by understanding the way images/styles get used.

I still find these issues sometimes after I check the pages in all browser types - but then someone uses an older version of IE that struggles with something that they fixed later.

Also some browser have bugs in older versions so make sure when you do check this stuff you're using the latest browser version or you'll chase your tail.

Try to get it right in IE 7 and 8 as well as FF (3.0 and higher). That takes care of the majority of your users. You can look at Opera if you want to, but if you want to appeal to the majority of your market, then IE and FF are the primaries.
