Help, my Amazon links aren't showing...

Hi,

Can anyone help me figure out why my inserted Amazon affiliate links aren't showing up on my Wordpress site?

It is my first attempt at this and the whole wp thing has been a big pain.

      Hi Melanie

      Wordpress can be a complete pain. I assume you mean that there should be text in the boxes and it isn't showing. the first thing to check is the stylesheet for the theme. The links could be there but in white so you can't see them

    From looking at the source on your site, it looks like you might have pasted the links in while you were in visual mode.... you need to click on the html tab in the post and paste them in html mode or the code gets screwed up.

      That's what I came up with, as well.

      If you look at the source code for the page, where it should say

      <a href="

      it says

      <a href&quot

      Which means the double-quote mark was converted to the code necessary to display " on the web page. You don't see that on the page itself because it's inside a html tag.

      Now what did I do wrong that I had that extra bit of code there? I just highlighted the name of the product and inserted the link for my Amazon affiliate code etc.

      Could it be because I didn't delete the first http:// that shows up automatically when I insert the code?

      I really appreciate all of your help. I am really relieved!

        So from now one, I enter html mode and click on link and then add the code there?

          In the Visual mode highlight the text or click on the image, then click on the link icon and enter your affiliate code in the popup (delete the http:// that's already there)

          If you are in HTML mode, put your cursor where you want the link to appear and just paste in the code you get from Amazon.
