Hi all, I'm hoping i'm posting in the right place in the forum.

I need some help and advice.

in the past I'v had no focus on what I was trying to achieve and it's only untill I sat down, wrote down what I wanted that I was able to get over my first little hurdle.

I've written my first report. i could not afford to pay anyone so just sat for days writing it myself. I have no list what so ever and am not sure about the quality of my report writing. I personally feel that it gets the message of what I want, across but would love to get some opinions from some experienced warriors.

I also designed my own capture page from scratch where the report is offered for free, for subscribers, that's how I intend on building my list. in the report there's a clickbank product directly related to the contents of my report.

Would I be right in asking people with lists to help me build my list in return for adding their product link in my report or on my thank you page? Or am i going about it in the wrong way. I'm happy to send a direct link to the report for a review for anyone who can help. PM me if you can.

thanks a lot ...... i feel a little nervous having posted this and writing my first report on my own and hesitated for so long before putting online, but I wont know untill I ask and just have a go and learn and improve hopefully.

    Hello how's it going.

Good job taking action. I'm actually getting into list building as of a couple weeks ago.

I'd be up for checking out your free report. You should just drop a link in your sig. Because the only way to tell if something will work is by testing...

Once you get a good amount of subscribers you can do ad swaps. This is when you put a link to somebody's page in an email that you send to your list and they do the same for you.

    Hi there,

I can't help you with the list building side of things, as I haven't started building one of my own yet. If you had the funds you could offer your free report as a free WSO with an opt-in form, which it sounds like you have already - that would help you build your list but I am not sure how helpful it would be in getting affiliate sales - depends on the topic I suppose

If you want a hand with getting a blog set up to help promote your squeeze page (which is a free option you can use) then PM me and I will give you a hand with that.

    Best wishes
    Lisa

    Wasim,

If you want to get people to opt in to get your free report I would start an article marketing campaign pointed at it so you have an initial flow of traffic to it. Once you have some subscribers (doesn't have to be a ton) go to the joint venture section of this forum and engage in adswaps. Also in that section you might be able to find some people who would be willing to mail to their list with an affiliate link to their product in your guide.

Thanks for all your feedback guys.

I'm ok with setting up a squeeze page as I invested the time to learn basic web pages, graphics and capture pages so my costs would be minimum in the long run.

The link to the squeeze page of the report is in my signature, thanks Lisa for offering to help with the blog I really appreciate it but I have a blog set up too to help promote it.

I would liked to put a small price on my report in the WSO to get started but I've named my report 'How FREE Reports Make Money'. Would you say that kind of defeats the object of advising others about writing FREE reports when mine isn't?

It sounds like your report is pretty short and concise (I'm guessing not more than 20 pages?), so since you're still pretty new here and haven't built up a solid reputation, I think you'd get far more opt-ins (versus sales) by offering this as a free WSO report.

Thanks Paulie, How you guessed it was no more than 20 pages I have NO idea but you're spot on actually.

The other thing is that I know how easy it is to gather information and just put it together without really understanding how to implement what ever is in the report, but everything i've included in the report I can do myself from scratch, practically and technically which i think is the main thing that made me confident enough to share it. It's not just about the practical side, I also talk about the pshycology behind of why it works rather than blind instrucions. It's the sort of thing I would have liked to have read ages ago.

Anyway, thanks I'll definately offer it for free.

It's just a confidence thing, but I feel good already from so much help already so I'll get better !!!

      Thanks

This interesting and also stimulate me to take action on some thing I have on my to-do-list, thanks.
I do not know if you have heard about viral marketing, there is this free report that I just got I would be adding the link below but I am not sure if the admin allows that, it is actually a method I am serious thinking, just check it, (bit.ly/pr0fit4u)
I did not hyperlinked it because it is an affiliate link but the report is actually free and you would not even to pay now or later(you know what that means!) hmmm!

Daryl, sorry about not replying to your PM, I have not posted enough to be allowed PM's. But just to let you know, YES, i designed my own squeeze page myself right from scratch, graphics too and took care of all the technical side of it too. Took AGES for me to learn but now that I know how to do it, i atleast got the basic skills.
