I think the process to get your articles approved is a little more strict there, so it doesn't surprise me.

I agree, it drives me crazy on how long it takes for ezines to approve an article. I see you can get faster approval by becoming premium on ezine. Has anyone found the premium status to be worth it? Is there any additional bonuses to being premium such as your article is featured on the site allowing more visitors to read it? Or maybe google favors it more? Just curious.

The question is, why should more traffic bother you? Now you know about it and can act on it... besides, if you're submitting to multiple directories (I'm betting you are), you can't expect that every article will rank only from EZA...

Associated Content is great but I have seen more longevity from my articles that are on Ezine. What I mean by this is that some of my associated content articles bring an initial wave of traffic (similar to Ezine) but then my Ezine ones tend to rank longer term.

Some of my Ezine articles stick in the top ten for long periods of time. My Associated Content articles have bounced around when they ranked. A mixture of both along with some of the other article directories like GoArticles, Buzzle, etc seems to be most effective.

I get traffic from both, sometimes one sends more than the other. But, keep in mind that sometimes, especially when you first publish your article, it might be shown on front page of that category and so you get more traffic. Or it could be simply that your article ranked better on their site.

I'm with you there FloridaKash. It takes me over a week to get my article approved at ezines. It is a bit annoying although I do like them and believe they are the best value.

This might be true in case to case basis as some says that they get more traffic with EZA than other associated contents, while other says EZA is working well with them.

A little off-topic maybe, but I found it really difficult to get approved on AC, and by the time i got approved, I was no longer interested... heh heh... is it really more strict on AC compared to EZA? I thought it was more of a geographic issue rather than article content.

I find it interesting people are saying its much more difficult to get approved on associated content. I love associated content, they approve much faster than ezines. All of the article I submit are 100% unique..... I typed them up myself. I submit one new article each day to Ezine, HubPages, ArticleBase, Buzzle, Go Articles and Article Dashboard. I have even had some comment already on an article or two.... they didn't agree with my article and basically told me I was a jerk. I thought it was funny, because controversy pulls traffic and I'll bet that person visited my site.... so it works for me.

Article Marketing is for sure my main marketing tool. It works for me and I seem to getting results. Since Nov 1st my traffic has gone from 15 unique visitors to 30 as of yesterday. I think that's pretty nice considering all of my ezine articles have yet to be posted. Now I wonder what would happen if I ended up posting 2 articles a day on each site.... hmmmmm.

What I do is take my article, once it is posted on Ezine (which, incidentally, only takes about 24 hrs for me, M-F, and I'm not a paid member) and then I post it on Associated Content under the section where you only get incentitive pay.

    Just thought it was interesting.

I've posted on Goarticles and haven't gotten a drop of traffic from there :0)

I know this is an older thread, but after doing some searching, I thought I'd chime in.

I also get a lot of traffic from AC. What I do, however, is submit articles to EZA and THEN submit to AC. That way, I'm pulling traffic from both. Plus, both articles end up ranking in the SE's for long-tail keywords anyway. It's a win-win.

Honestly, AC and EZA are all I truly use anymore. I used to submit to ArticlesBase and a few others, but the traffic is worthless. ArticlesBase really went downhill as far as traffic is concerned. Articles barely get any views there anymore. No other article directories lately have been as superior as EZA and AC (except Buzzle, but they require unique content and only allow 5 pending approval at one time).
