How to make $50k per month...

This thread is inspired by WF resident Bryan Kumar and his thread "How to make 50,000 by Christmas?"

But instead of just a one time thing, I'm looking for ideas on how to accomplish the goal of making $50k per month (net) and doing only online marketing / online business.

I think it starts with a plan. Going back to the drawing board. The first thing to do is review T&GR. In short, strong desire, belief, affirmation, the plan, action and consistency in all steps.

The plan of action is where I'm kind of blurry at. What are your ideas. If this is your goal, to make $50k per month online, what would you do?

Did you want to do this with several income streams or just one?

IE - some affiliate marketing, product creation, adsense, etc

What kind of marketing will you use to achieve this?
Will you specialize in one niche, or spread out to micro niches?

Will you do online only, or do you want to do this helping offline clients?

What does "the end" look like?

Once you figure that out, you can map it backwards.

It does. BUT, don't sit there forever analyzing stuff - DO SOMETHING.

I think we can agree that whatever the methods are, they dont involve seo-ing a Wordpress blog and making money with clickbank. Do you guys agree? Sure there are those rare ones that make millions with CB as affiliate but that's like one in a million.

I have a CB product that was earning a paltry $15k/year. I made a few tweaks, increased the price, added value, etc, and now it does over $50k/year.

I know a couple of marketers that have simple membership sites and they are doing over 90k/month!

If you "give the people what they want", then the sky is the limit.

CB might not be the way to start on your way to your millions. As for SEO-ing your Wordpress... Digg is a SEOed Wordpress... except there is more to it than just that. So SEO is definitely the way to get started once your site ( be it WP or whatever else) is up.

Dude, this is actually very acheivable if you break it down.

Lets say you can put a number of sites together that each make $500 a month. $500 a month, really isnt that much money for one website to make. Given that you might intend selling a $27 product, thats only 19 sales a month!

    So...

$500 per month, per website, is only 100 websites.

    Get started, I am.

PS. $500 is a conservative figure, you could do better of course.

BUT -they ae making money. In real life, a decent job is preferable to being a marketer with zero income.

You can keep the big bucks in your mind as your future goal - but instead of searching for the magic bean it's better to get busy earning enough to survive next week and next month. If you are earning $0 and spending time looking for "the way" to earn $50k a month, you are still dreaming instead of getting started.

There's nothing wrong with dreaming big or aiming high - but you must also plan the interim goals and steps along the way or you go nowhere.

I would say start with $5000 or even $500 a month goals if you never made that much consistently online. $50K without doing close to that online could be setting yourself up for failure. Not saying you can't do it, just would recommend that you set more attainable goals first.

Why $50k a month? I know everyone says "aim high" and all that B*S* but the fact is $50k a month is a lot of money....

I don't need to make that at all. I have way more than enough with $20k a month.

not putting the psot down but are you at least making $10K a month profit now? I see so many people not maknig $1 shoot for figures like this. No wonder they so frustrated.

$50K+ a month..what for-ever? Aint going to hapen. Biz is a lot more up and down than that. Even if you have the best hottest product ever...sales wil leventually tail off etc....it's all in the cycles. Course it can and is done and a lot more...but i am not so sure you should set such loft goals. Why not simply do your best, enjoy the ride and see where you go?

Well I am going to give you just my 2 cents of practical advice, you may not do 50k per month, but it is easy to start and you will learn a lot.

    a) make product research in Amazon, in the movie section, see what movie is the one that is selling good.
    b) Create a Squiddo page with the title www.squido.com/(nameofthemovie)themovie
    c) Write a review about the movie, use the name of the movie in the title of your lens, first paragraph and last one.
    d) add pictures and movie clips from you tube.
    e) Post your affiliate link above and under each youtube movie clip.

If you do that everyday for at least 5 movies your will earn so money, have some website with passive income and learn a lot!!!!.

    Hope it helps

Nothing wrong at all with this goal, but as the others have mentioned you have to set discrete and obtainable steps/goals along the way to that $50k. You have to map out your way to success, you do not get to $50k overnight, and there are steps/goals that need to be achieved to get there.

By planning and setting these interim goals (and the steps needed to get there), you are much more likely to remain motivated as you'll see yourself making measurable progress along the way. You can tick off all your interim steps/goals as you achieve them, and if you carefully plan out what you need to do along the way, your chances of achieving success will be dramatically higher!

  • I know from experience that if you make $5k/month you can do $50k/month by implementing VERY few changes, like introducing backend offers, some tweaks in your front-end sales funnel and grow traffic as much as you can.

I did that and moved up from around $10k to $50k per month in the blink of an eye.

My point with my previous post was to stress that you should NOT goal for $50k/month right away. Instead, aim for a few grand a month (AKA a job replacer) and then simply tweak/expand on what you're already doing.

You cannot run unless you learn to walk first.

So you went from your first $800 day six days ago to $10k a week - which is over $1400 a day? As you say you use bh methods that's possible - but most won't do that.

Breaking goals and hitting records, by next week I may hit my first $2k day. I use paid traffic now, I used to do bh earlier in the year but it doesn't make money anymore.

I know it wasn't directed at me but I just had to disagree. I do understand everyone's situation is different and there are adults with children and jobs with no IM education, would be foolish to drop everything and go into IM, but some sacrifices will be necessary.
