How old is the website (just since Sept?) and is the $100 per month or total for the life of the site?

Also, how much maintenance does it take (time wise) for the site? Any added expenses other than the usual hosting?

Take the monthly income and multiply it by 12 to 16. That will give you it's fair market value at both a high end and low end.

Without knowing all the details. A general rule of thumb is for you to show at least 3 months to 6 months of income, average that out and multiply x 12 (for 1 yr).

So if you average $150 a month a starting point could be $1500-$1800. Other things could boost it like an lead generator.

Good luck with that. Unfortunately, the only people buying websites for 1yr+ worth of income are corporations investing in extremely high-traffic web applications or services that either threaten their business or could be fantastic asset. Everyone else who buys websites is looking to turn a profit well within in a year, so you're only going to get six or eight months of income max.

A lot of the time thread posters and bloggers alike toss around twelve, sixteen, or even twenty-four months income to access the value of a site. Simply because they need to write a story to get followers. That's why you see those very well crafted threads that appear here on the main forum. Reality is boring and depressing, but theoretical numbers are fun and exciting. Which would you choose to gain an audience?

Thanks for reply... I bought the domain on 16 april. website up on 18 april. No other expenses. Hosting only. Approximately USD150 income from amazon alone for the life of this website. Maintenance, just manage a few thing 1-2 hours once a week.

So that's around $21 a month, mostly passive income and it's got a track record of about 7 months which is good. I agree with the formulas above - around $250 - $300 with what we have to go on here.

Of course, if you have been increasing the traffic/income then you could get more.

Also, you should consider keeping it until after Christmas ... last year my Amazon sites tripled their income during the holiday months so you could show even more average income if you did that.

Is the site growing? What's the main topic?

Can you build a subscriber list around the topic?
If yes, you'd be foolish to sell.

Could be foolish to sell, that depends on your needs and desire.

Will be a learning experience if you do now or later. If you do, then move on clean and have no regrets for doing so.

    Cheers.

    Hi tyrus,
Yes. The traffic is growing. I just thinking to sell it...but not decided yet. I haven't fully maximize the website because of my others online & offline projects. I will rethink based on Christmas performance. Anyway, thanks tyrus for your concern.
