How and to whom do I send a WSO for approval?

I am getting ready to launch my first WSO. I've read the rules but I still have a couple of questions:

1. Do I simply post it as a new thread in the WSO section or does it need to be submitted to someone for approval first?

2. Since I am still fairly new and not well known, is it a good idea to ask a few people to review my offer? If so, who, and how do I ask for reviews?

I am nervous, but excited to get started on my first launch. I can't think of a better forum than this one for feedback and encouragement!

Thanks!

    Hi Jim,

Welcome! I'm glad you're excited to launch your WSO. You'll post your WSO as a new thread in the WSO section. Once you submit it, it will "disappear" and leave you with a message explaining that you will get a PM once it is approved. You'll pay your fee, and the ad will then appear in the WSO section.

It is a good idea to have some feedback on your WSO. Don't start a thread in the main section asking for one, however. Some choose to offer a few review copies on the WSO itself. Others PM members to see if they would like a review copy. Others go ahead and launch and wait for buyer response -- see what works best for you.

In any case, jump in on the threads and let everyone get to know you. That dramatically improves response to WSO's, and you'll learn a lot and share a lot at the same time.

Jumping right in without testing anything out could be a disaster, however, I've seen people who've done a successful launch not only once but TWICE, consecutively.

Looking at your post count, and tracing back to your posts that you've posted in the forum, people can easily track that if you're a "walk-the-talk" kind of product owner, or you're just kind of creating something out in the blue.

It's a sad truth but that's human nature, and you new in here, you don't know how many people have been burned by hypes and so on. Not to suggest that you're one, but people would judge based on some of those factors.

Also, if you're just going to launch like that, it would cost you $40 for the launch of the WSO, and sometimes your WSO will drop to the 2nd and the 3rd page quite fast, if there are people bumping up their WSO or create a new one too.

    Each bump requires another $40.

You can opt to bump yours only when it falls to the 3rd page.

I've yet to create any, but I've been preparing around 1 month for even a small launch like mine.

I've prepared for the worst, and I've had people to CRITIQUE my stuff even before I start to pre-sell it or give out any review copies.

Many good products in the WF or perhaps around the world, did not get enough sales or conversion, just because of the lacking of marketing behind the launching of the product, not to mention the post-launching kind of stuffs.

With that said, if you have already get yourself well prepared for anything and not ready to give up, welcome on board!

Jenn has just given some good points too, hope that helps, Jim

Hi Jim, you may want to contribute more to the forum before launching your WSO. It would help you more.

Thanks to each of you for your encouragement and advise. Maybe its an excuse but I'm not much of a poster, or emailer for that matter. But I can see how having more posts increases one's credibility. Being a relative newbie, I guess I don't think I have that much to add to any stream of thought. My real area of expertise is in personal growth. I've been a counselor and writer for thirty years. I can see that I need to pick up the pace here!

    Thanks again,
    Jim

Jim, you might want to check out the Mind Warriors sub forum here. That area should give you plenty of opportunity to post stuff that you have experience with and allow you to contribute.
