    Hi there,

The main problem people face is traffic, really!

    Heres what you can do,

If you have a spending budget like say $100+, heres what you can do:-

Search on Google for a website or blog which is related to yours. Like you said, whitelabeldating.

Then, find blogs/websites that recieve lot of traffic. Visit those websites, and usually they will contain a 'Ádvertise' page.

You can get very cheap traffic from these sites in the form of Banners or Text Links.

And the best part is, this will be targeted traffic that WILL convert.

But if you have NO or LESS spending budget, heres what to do:-

Get backlinks. Post comments, socially bookmark your website, submit articles, make profiles, etc.

And use your keyword as the anchor text. This way, you can rank higher in Search Engines and get a lot of Free Traffic.

There are many cheap services here which cost like $50 or something that you can buy. These get you great amount of backlinks.

    Emma!

While I am tempted to look at this post and the responses as shill tactics, I'm going to reply anyway...

Article marketing is an easy, straight forward and proven way of driving traffic. There is a ton of free information in this forum dealing with article marketing, bum marketing etc.

A few well written, informative articles posted to a subdirectory off of your site or within the membership area of you site that are then posted to 8 - 10 article directories a day on a consistent basis can have a profound impact on the amount of traffic to your site and your eventual growth.

Hi, and welcome to the forum. You need to kick start the process and nothing beats pay per click (PPC) to get going quickly. You don't need to do it forever, or spend a ton of money. Just do it for a limited time/budget while you build alternative viral routes.Best known PPC platform is Google, but I believe 7Search is also good. We've had good results from Facebook as well.

Agreed....PPC can be a good way to get things jumpstarted as well. The results are almost immediate but be careful... can be expensive and your stuff should be converting well or else you're just losing money on a daily basis.

Thare are many ways you can bring traffic to your site and you can do that with:

-article marketing: you could write few articles and submit them to directories so yo ucan promote your site!

-PPC(pay per click):gives you the opportunity to list your site at the top of search engine results by advertising on keywords that best describe your product or service!

-Submit your site to the biggest search engines (Google, Yahoo, and MSN)

          -Start your own blog

-Google Adwords is another way to reach your potential clients

          -Place newspaper classifieds

Hello Datingworld, welcome to the online advertising space with your new site. I would be glad to help out with offering some ways in which a company like 7Search.com can assist in generating traffic from the alternative networks. There are many options available to an advertiser. We are one, we generate over 3.5 billion searches monthly with an average cpc less than $0.20. I can work with you to create a campaign and wakl you through the UI. At the moment we are offering a $50 credit to all advertisers who fund a new account with us. If you select my name when it asks how you heard about 7Search.com and then also enter BUNDLE into the box below my name that asks for a "promo code" you will take advantage of this once you fund the new account. Feel free to contact me for further questions bstanley at 7search dot com

If you really on a shoe string budget, I suggest that you try with article marketing first. PPC is great but you have to know what is your buying keyword and will have a lot of testing to do. Testing cost money.

So, if I am at your current situation, I will start with article marketing as well as other free traffic method.

Backlinking is building up links that point back to your website.

So if you are using article marketing, you write an article and submit it to article directories. When you submit your article there will usually be a 'resource box' and in here you can put a link to your website.

The more articles that you submit and the more directories you submit to, the more backlinks you are creating.

You can also build backlinks by having a blog and with each post include a link to your website.

You can also create a lens at Squidoo and a hub at Hubpages and include links to your website.

There are a lot of other ways to build backlinks too, but basically it is just getting links to your website and as many of them as you can.

I think there were some great suggestions... Articles work, yet not my style... PPC works yet can be costly... Backlinks work well especially if your site was built with SEO in mind (Search Engine Optimization), plus getting involved in social marketing in your particular niche seems a great idea... To expand on that idea I recommend you also ad forum marketing... Ask around here and you will find many here are in the Internet Marketing Niche and do alot of business here on the warrior forum... So find a dating forum or two and invest some time there... Also twitter is good, you should definitely be tweeting...
Wow I just remebered a technique I used before... not sure why I stopped... oh right I do not like writting articles... To lazy... However this is how it works write an article post to ezine then go to stumbleupon and by ad credits for your article... this will drive tons off traffic to your article and make sure to have a great signature at the end of your article that promotes your website and you will get tons of traffic for a small investment,
You should also post a link to your website in your sig file here so we could see your site and give even more focused feedback.
One more thing... List building... Do not waste your traffic efforts... Build your list and you will have customers to market to over and over again... Couples love to travel and so many other things so keep an open mind and make sure to include list building as you drive traffic to your site

I have absolutely no experience in the dating niche. And especially in the dating website area.

But, if I was in that niche I would be looking at affiliate networks and affiliate promotions. I would be trying to find ways to get other people to drive traffic for me.

This is an extremely competitive niche, but that also means that there are a lot of people promoting websites.

So, I would start researching affiliate networks and how you can get affiliates to promote your product.

      Talk soon,

      Shannon Herod
