Article advice...please!

Hi,

Just looking for some advice, is it possible to make £100 a day article marketing?

Should it link to my site or straight to affiliate link?

Thanks for any help.

    My advice would be to link it to your site and to a squeeze page. This way you can build a list and market to them again and again and again . . .

    However, if you don't have a list then you can link to the product using an affiliate link. Most directories allow two links so utilize this and make sure to also try to at least include your site some how in the resource box.

      Coby is dead on! Send them to your site or squeeze page! Collect the emails and you have an already interested buyer to continue to market to over and over.

      Just set up an autoresponder with a service such as Aweber and send your list periodic emails. Just make sure to give away great free content as well so you don't come off as spammy.

        Some, if not most, article directories do not allow
        direct links to affiliate sites.

        Like others said send to own site and get email so
        that you can offer good free, helpful info to them
        and to market to them and make more money.

        Remember that they click on the link because of
        the article that you wrote. When they click on the
        link then they have a positive image of you of a
        person that provides good info.

        This means that when they have got to your site
        that they are more likely to sign up for any free
        report.


        If you send to an affiliate link then you have to get
        new people to click the links in the article directories
        to make money. If you send to your own email
        capture page then you need to generate less traffic.

        On your list you can sell to them again and again
        - if done correctly.

    Ultimately, you should link to your site or squeeze page where you can collect email addresses to build a list etc... and then send your prospect to the affiliate offer.

    I can't say that this was what I did when I initially started but life is about learning. There are people out there that are sending traffic directly to an affiliate sales page from articles through a redirect of a top level domain (pointing a domain name to the affiliate url through a redirect... this can be done on GoDaddy's domain manager, for instance)... and yes, they are making money... and yes, 100 pounds is obtainable either way.

    I'm sure others will pipe in here but in addition there is a lot of information on article marketing on this forum.

    You want their info more than the tiny affiliate sale. Hit them up with follow-up products in that niche.

    I have never linked directly to an affiliate site. Like others said it is better to link to your own site. You want to warm them up or pre-sell them before you mention the affiliate site.

    100 pounds a day is surely achievable, but have you made 10 pounds yet?

    If not, then you will want to set small goals first(maybe 10 pounds to start of), then evaluate what works and what doesn't. Thereafter focus on what works: rinse - repeat - upscale.

      Hi, I mean using articles to sell affiliate products.

      I have a site I've set up and have 20 pages of content so far, including product reviews that I will link to from the article, via a squeeze page to collect email for a series of "tips" newsletters.

      That's what the advice seems to point to, thank you all for your help.

      (My current online earning are about £20 a month through adsense on a dog blog, [a seperate site to the one discussing above] that I don't really do much on except youtube clips of cute dogs!)

    Sending them to a squeeze page is much better, but as an alternative, if you don't have enough money for hosting and aweber fee. You could decide to redirect to a domain name...

      Thanks, I have my hosting and have getreponse (first 100 on list free). I signed up tonight after advice hear to build the list.

      I suppose I was aware of this, however, when chasing the money I became blinded to my long term goal.

      I want to set up a sustainable business that will enable me to continue to work from home and probably get a place of my own soon!

      It is very easy to get blinded by information and the panic that comes from needing to make some money.

        It's good that you signed up for Getresponse, because one thing that many people don't know about is that you can buy opt-in co-registration leads from them at a very reasonable cost, and this is something you can look into later once you have more money rolling in - by doing this you can build your list really fast if you want to.

    LOL....
    Just promote the paxil lawsuit offer, I have seen networks payout anywhere from 200-500 per lead! Pretty sick...

    if your network doesn't offer this campaign, go with whatever they have that pays the most and write several different articles around the product / service.

    100 / day is just a number. more importantly is the offer your dealing with and the payout and the conversion for that offer. Also look at the landing page for the offer. I have seen some really good landing pages and some crappy ones. What type of content will you have in your articles... There are alot of factors you must answer..

    Hi. I have read your problem. I would just like to share my practice with your situation. I have been creating articles and posting them into different directories. What I usually do is that create a link to my page as well as to my affiliate link.

    You can send them directly to your affiliate url, but I would recommend building a list. Also, do not diversify. Focus on one niche, and a maximum of two products.
