I believe this was just G testing the new feature and Tuesday they plan to make it live for many different languages. (That's what I have been told I'm not sure if it's true or gossip)???

    Have a Great Day!

That is one of the most annoying features to every come out of Google to be honest... I think usability went right out of the window with this one.

It's kind of, ahem, cuil. LOL.

Seriously though, it isn't doing it for me. I feel so left out.

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

Hmm, it looks like it's active only in Germany. I don't see anything like that on official .com version.

If you see the magnifying glass icon next to a listing click it. That might bring it up for those of you not seeing it.

I think it is great because you can now see if it is an annoying site before you waste time going there. So many adsense site, hype sites with little to no content is just a waste of time.

Now you can see at a glance if it is going to be something your want to look at.

A real time saver I think. Good on ya Google you've done it again.

I'm not a big fan of it, but like everything else if it becomes the norm we'll all get used to it eventually.

Not a gimmick at all - even though it's been done before (even YEARS ago buy ASK) it's a stroke of genius by Google.

Now people don't have to click through to find they are not on the page they were looking for, or perhaps they can quickly tell by the overview if the page is suitable. It keeps people ON Google's page. Remember their revenue is 99.9% from Adwords so they want you to stay on there as long as possible.

I wouldn't call it a stroke of genius. But your conjecture makes more sense
than anything else I've read, so far.

Now... if they can just move the preview over to the left side so the adwords
        ads are more visible. Eh?

Maybe they can also put arrows on the preview site pointing to the right. >>>

        >>>

        Yo! >>>

        LOL

This leads me to believe that somehow, great aestethic design, huge headlines as well as other attention grabbing details will gain in significance with getting organic Google traffic.
