Hi Guys , I am newbie at this internet marketing business and I would appreciate it greatly if some one can help me with a question on Google .

The question being , How come when you do the work to get your site to a certain page level on Google, being between 1-10 , finding that your site stays on that page for one maybe two days then disappears for a week or two, comes back to the same page it was last on ,then gets ranked to a higher page the next day stays there for one day and then disappears again from any rank on Google again never to be seen on any page ?.

If you think this is confusing to you , how do you think I feel.

HELP at understanding this phenomenon would be great full.

That can happen because of one or two things. If you're referring to a brand new website what you're likely experiencing is something called 'The Google dance' which refers to Google's algorithms trying to figure out where your indexed page should go. Your rankings also dance around when Google updates their algorithm.

The second possibility is that you're logged in to a Google Account that's clicked that link to your website. Google Accounts actually save your search history and how you exit the search page, so if you search for that particular term again they'll position it on the first page. The results will actually jumble around depending on how frequently you click each link. Since Google's trying to take a stab at what you're looking for when you do that search.

  • Thats normal, That happens specially to new websites or new pages.
Just keep on adding contents and building backlinks.
