Rank #11 for "ways to make money online"- Need some suggestions please

I hope this thread can give newbies hope and show them that you can do this, no mater how "newbie" you might be. If you work and take action, you can do this.

I also need some advice from warriors. Here is the deal:


I am very excited. I am almost there. I dont know if some of you guys remember or not, I had posted a thread a few months ago about how I was so happy that in less than a year I went from not knowing how to make a simple website to ranking #75 for "making money online" keyword and #200 for "ways to make money online" which are some of the most competitive keywords in online money making niche.

This is a continuation of that post and how with the help I got from this forum and the great members of it, I have managed to move forward and get my blog a step closer to where I want it to be.


I have been watching my ranking for my main keyword "ways to make money online" on Google top 100 SERPs. For the last 2 week or so, my blog was going back and forth between 2nd page, 6th, 7th, and 8th page. But for the past few days, it has settled on 2nd page (#11). So, So, I think the dance is over. I am very excited.


I really didn't think I could do this. I mean, when I first bought my domain last year, I didn't know a thing about how websites work, I didn't even know what SEO stood for. I know the second page of Google is basically like being on the #100 page. But to me its a lot and it just means I have to work a little harder o get to the first page and stay there. And I think the main thing that helped me was my crazy article submissions. I submitted a lot of articles to article directoires left and right.





Now I need some advice:
I optimized 2 page of my blog for the keyword ways to make money online, home page the page where I have the 53 ways to make money online. However, right now it is my homepage that is ranking #11, and I am going to work hard to get it to the first page for that keyword. But, here is the problem (maybe):

This is my description tag (what shows next to my url for "ways to make money online" on Google's result page):

A blog about the best ways to make money online, from making money with affiliate marketing, ebay, e-books, to paid surveys, mystery shopping, blogging and ...


Usually people who search for the term "ways to make money online" would be more interested in a link that says something like 10 ways to make money online or 32 quick ways to make money online and etc. So, I know people are more likely to click other links with those kinds of description rather than click on my link.

So, do you think I should change the description tag and include the "53 ways to make money online" and then use some kind of plug-in to have it as the feathered article or something like that on the homepage where as soon as people visit, they can see it or...?


I would appreciate any suggestions.
