Some backlink questions (How do they affect other pages on same site?)

Howdy!

My efforts to become successfull online continues. I have a few sites up and ranking well so far. I got this idea today and figured I would give it a shot. Just need to research a bit first...

My idea s to create a large website which would have something like 100 articles all aiming for a different keyword. These keywords would be supersmall, something like less than 5 000 hits and around 1000-3000 searches.

My question is: Do backlinks to the mainsite affect the individual pages? And does backlinks to the individual pages affect my mainpages ranking?

I was thinking of going for phrases only, so that I can have at least parts of the keywords in domain-name. Monetizing using AdSense and a related CB product for every article.

Best Regards

Everything you add to a page has some effect, there's a couple hundred factors and the relevancy of those links would play a role.

That's one of the important factors when building authority sites.

if your main page gains a PR and you internal link then the pagerank juice flows from your main page to your other pages. If on the other hand you DO NOT add rel=nofollow to your outgoing links then your PR will flow outside too.

I always suggest that you internal link because Google loves it and I do a lot of GOOD SEO, so I am talking from experience.

Internal linking, linking to authority sites and building high quality backlinks always helps SEO.

Yes, as you build more backlinks to your internal pages, you main domain's authority increases and you will be able to rank much easily. Build backlinks to the internal pages most of the time and not all to the main domain name.

Spot on, but don't forget that a "natural" link system incorporates some out-linking and some no-follows. This is a good thing for "Big G" to see and makes your site even more likely to get higher PR.

Also, make sure you're back-linking to your site from pages of PR4+, and realize that PR only updates by the quarter (every 3 months).

Good system you've worked out. Don't forget a Video Snippet (1-5 min) for each KW. Include a link to the article in video description. YouTube is the 2nd largest search engine, also owned by "Big G".

      All Hail Big G
