I don't think there can be any strategy for marketing on twitter. All you need is relevant followers.

All my tweets are automatic through wordpress, one per post. Any time of the day whenever the post is made live.

I keep twitter follow button on my website that lets people follow me if they liked the website.

I've hooked up my RSS feeds to my Twitter account so each time I post on my site, forum or Facebook, it automatically updates on Twitter.

That's about as far as I go with Twitter marketing, but it saves so much time.

With Twitter possibilities are endless for attracting interested customers!
      Customers can search you!
Twitter is also great to improve networking with current customers!
Tweets are instantly posted and received by followers.

    angel1987 and Mick Meaney :

That's exactly what i did! Hooked my twitter account with my blog's RSS feeds, so the tweets automatically go out every time i post on my blog!

Have you experimented the best time to tweet a blog post? As in, which time rakes in the most traffic?

I agree that you just have to get a good set of followers to make Twitter a helpful tool for you. One of the things I read about tweeting is where they would post certain tweets and then get an application that will post their previous tweets again several times in a day through an application. You can also try this to catch the attention of followers.

The strategy for marketing on twitter is basically the same as marketing a blog, it's just that the methods used vary somewhat.

I suggest you do the following, it's what I do and it works.

    1. Find a keyword or keyword phrase with plenty of followers (sound familiar?). If there are enough people searching for it on Google the chances are that there is a proportionate number of people discussing it on Twitter.
    2. Do a search for your keyword phrase on Twitter and find people that are discussing your niche.
    3. Start following some of these people and add value to their tweets and begin tweeting your own thoughts on the niche.
    4. Whatever you do DO NOT start trying to sell to them until you have at least 1,000 targeted followers, or more. Think of it as commenting on other peoples blogs, or building backlinks. You want people to take you seriously and trust your knowledge.
    5. Once you have built a relationship with your audience begin drip feeding your offers with links to your blog or program.

Far too many people think that social marketing means that you can get a few followers, post a few tweets with your links and people are going to come flocking to your site. They wont! And if they do they'll probably just bounce straight off. It's all about building relationships.

The other thing I feel is important is that you need a different Twitter account for each niche. My Twitter accounts are like my blogs. Each one is targeted at a specific audience.

I don't tweet about 'dog training' (there it is, I knew it had to come up) to my 'Gardening' followers.

    All the best

    video marketing
    blog commenting

Unless you have hundreds of thousands of Twitter followers expect only a trickle of clicks for the most part. Unless your a big name celebrity.

100,000 followers is no guarantee that you will get many clicks. What you need are targeted followers that are interested in what you have to say, and they know they come to you for more information.

I have thousands of Twitter followers spread over many accounts and each account is aimed at a specific niche and sometimes even a micro niche.

Take for example one of my microniches 'Land Rover Discovery'. Anyone who follows me and that I in turn follow is looking for information within that niche.

The other day when I posted 'Found a cure for the leaking roof problem. Can be done in a day' people visited a blog that I promote for the article and what's more it was retweeted over and over. Retweets can sometimes get you more clicks than your tweet.

When people get used to the fact that you give reliable credible information links they will click on almost anything you put in front of them. One more thing my followers have become used to is that if I do have a sponsored link or advertisement I state it clearly in the Tweet.

Build credibility, and the traffic will come.
